How many 1sts

Does it take to get Steph Curry?

We trade Conley and Bogey to a 3rd team for additional draft capital.

Steph
Mitchell
O’Neale
Ingles
Gobert

That team wins a few rings.
Ingles is cooked.

I've been thinking about potential Curry trade too :D

I don't think we have enough to trade for him unless we include Mitchell.

If all our picks can do it... I guess you have to do it. Like all available picks + all swaps...

But if the only way to do it is to give up Mitchell, do you do it?

Steph Curry is Golden State's icon. They're not going to move him unless he demands a trade.

If you have to give up Mitchell, probably not.

GSW is not trading him, but you give up as many firsts as they want and any player other than mitchell and Gobert if you could swing it.

We could offer every pick we have for the next thirty years and not get him.

Conley to Miami.
Herro, Achiuwa, Dragic, Azuibuke, and 4 firsts, 3 swaps to Washington.
Beal to Utah.

This is in the realm of a possible trade, Curry is not.

If I'm Miami I wouldn't trade Herro for Conley, much less add more to him...they'd be better off cutting Utah out. I think if we are looking at trading picks for potential star players, John Collins is the name that might be available, but I'm not sure we can work something reasonable out, it just might be more doable than transcendent guys like Curry, or young players of Beal's caliber.

The chemistry we are seeing from this team is something special, and not just by Utah standards, but NBA standards.

It blows my mind that anyone would think we should shake things up.

I guess some people just have to be the guy who wins a million dollar scratcher, and then decides to go to the horse track to bet it all on a 3 legged horse, just because of the incredible odds.

A Curry trade is completely unrealistic, but luckily for us, we don't need him. This Utah team absolutely can win a championship as currently constructed.

Did Curry ask for a trade or something?

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

I'm with Cappy. Team chemistry is unbelievable and what every coach would love to have. Why mess with this? While I would love to see Steph in a Jazz uni, no way that happens and the disruption that would cause could bring the entire thing crumbling down. These guys love playing with each other, they are all playing unselfishly and caring more about the team than the individuals. I think Joe has a lot to do with that as does Rudy, JC, Favors & of course Q. These vets all see the sum is greater than its parts mentality which is difficult for other teams to prepare for.

I don't get to see the inner workings but from what an ordinary fan can see this really is a "we" team. Nobody saying "I'm the best this, I'm the best that" or crying "I was disrespected" for silly reasons.

Any kind of move for the Jazz in the current situation needs the utmost care and scrutiny IMO.

I am all for team chemistry but there is a difference with trading for a guy like DLo(Not a proven winner) versus Steph(Championship pedigree), I don’t think Steph makes us take a step back at all, his shooting alone would make him integrate very quickly.
