I'll really feel bad if we lose tomorrow, but I don't feel terrible about losing this game at the last minute when we didn't have Gobert, Mitchell and Conley.

I was kind of hoping that the Jazz would sweep the Lakers in order to help push the Lakers down to the sixth seed, further out of the Jazz' playoff path, but I was already seriously doubting that the Lakers were going to drop that far. Before yesterday's win, the Lakers were 5-5 over the last ten games, but so were the Blazers. 538.com projects the Lakers finishing a full three games ahead of the Blazers and Mavs.

I am glad that Phoenix lost yesterday. If our key defensive player Gobert stays healthy all the rest of the way while DM and other top rotational players stay healthy most of the rest of the way, we should safely finish ahead of the Suns, who have a much tougher schedule. 538 projects the Jazz decisively winning the battle for the number one seed.

That game can be blessing in disguise. I believe that there are a good chance that Ersan can provide an important contribution just in right place of Jazz gaming scheme. And that there is (or now may be "was") even bigger chance that he will not be given a chance to prove that. One just can't prove BBIQ and shooting in 3-5 min of hectic garbage time.

His performance today may be move him over the hump. Though you can't tell with Quin, he is not as stiff and stubborn in his player policy as Sloan was. And nice stat line with by far best +- on the team in 32 min can convince him... may be, hopefully, who knows...

I was really impressed with Ersan's performance, especially considering he wasn't even on a team for most of this season and hasn't played in meaningful game minutes with the starters until now. Ersan has a quick, high release on three pointers that is difficult to block. Ersan also had four steals and two blocks.

It was clear that Joe Ingles had confidence in the veteran Ilyasova from the outset, clear that Joe Ingles was looking for Ersan and that Joe knew he could make plays with Ersan. Mike Conley would also be great at making plays with Ersan imo.

Down the final stretch of this regular season, I hope Ersan gets some more opportunities to play with our top guys in order to give Gobert, Favors and Bogdanovic some chances to rest heading in to playoffs, and to make sure Ersan is tuned up and ready to go in case the Jazz have to call on him in the playoffs.

Couple bad calls went against him at end of the game. He should've got that charge call and wipe out was clear against Dennis and offensive foul. I blame coach for not challenging those calls. But Ersan shooting was awesome and he had a nice flow this game.

Final two minute reports says that two calls in the last two minutes should have been charges drawn by Ersan. I think the loss actually helps us more with seeding, but encouraging that our team sans its 3 best players and second best bench player is probably better than LA sans AD/LeBron.

Our scrubs look like scrubs. Not sure they are NBA material.

Wow! Drawing charges is one of Ersan's specialties. Too bad he didn't get the respect of the refs on the KCP charge and the offensive push-off by Schroder. Maybe he would have got the calls if the game had been anywhere but Staples, home of the NBA's preferred Western Conference winner?

How Morgan gets minutes over Brantley is an absolute mystery to me.

Eh, I just think those are hard calls. I saw something that basically showed that 50/50 calls generally go for the home team, so having HCA is going to be to our advantage, even with a limited amount of fans. If Ersan can become a rotation player for us by the end of the season, that is huge.

I really like his game and hope this recent usage drop isn't a telling sign of his a ability to contribute or a luck of confidence from Q.

Oni was back getting minutes with the regular rotation players in the next game (Monday) against the Lakers. He did a decent job on defense.
