All it cost was a 2nd round pick. Zanik is doing a nice job.

Now there's the small ball C. Still wish they got a 3&D wing though. Can't have enough of those

Can't complain about this...... If he can become a better 3 point shooter, this could be a great deal......

Warriors fan here..gonna miss this guy easy to root for. He can light it up in spurts but is just too much of a tweener to have consistent impact. Wishing the best for him though.

I think the Paschall deal has D Wade written all over it. This was done to keep Donovan Mitchell happy. The Jazz will pay a little extra next year to keep Paschall in Utah so Donovan doesn't demand a trade for a couple more years. This is what happens when the inmates run the prison. It is not a bad deal for a future protected 2nd round pick but tell me what this guy really does that distinguishes himself from 1,000 other guys trying to get the 12th - 15th spot on a roster. This guy is a heavier, less athletic version of J Brantley IMO.

I don't buy this. I mean, I'm sure that being DM's buddy is what got him on the radar, but for the price of a protected 2nd round pick, they just got a 3rd year player who has averaged 12 points and 4 rebounds in his 2 NBA seasons. (Albiet his numbers his rookie year were better than last year, when he was an NBA All-Rookie First Team member.) That's a great grab for the team's depth, and potentially for their future. Eric needs to improve his outside shot and possibly drop a few pounds, but he's not exactly an end of bench player just there to play with Donovan on the plane-rides. (Insert Jack Haley/Dennis Rodman jokes here, for older NBA fans.) Jazz added Paschall & Gay. Both upgrades over Niang, both capable of stints as small ball centers.

Suring up the 4 spot with Gay & Paschall + O'Neale, may open more doors for a Bogey trade in exchange for a versatile wing??

Bogey's scoring is important, I think this ultimately opened up options for Ingles or O"Neale in trades because we have Spida's best friend on the team now.

Didn't realize Paschall was 6'6" with a 7ft wing span..... He may have made O'Neale expendable...

Definitely not. He is not a good defender at this point in his career.

He has similar measurements to Dray Green. Dray is shorter but has a longer wing span by 2 inches. They have the same vert as well.

He has defensive potential but to this point he hasn't been good in that department. If he does turn into a stud defensively then you pair him with Royce rather than viewing Royce as expendable.

To me, Bogey's scoring (and being able to do nothing else) is less impactful than the O'Neale's willingness & ability to guard 4 positions. Poor guy was on the other teams best player every damn night. 3&D is what we need, but get rid of our only true 3&D guy, who's on an amazing contract? Nah.

Ingles has way more intangibles that Bogey. And yes, age is catching up, but he's got a better cap #, plus would bring back less in a trade, IMO. He's the #2/3 PG, #2/3 SG, #2/3 SF, shoots RIDICULOUSLY efficiently from everywhere on the court, is great in the P&R, and is a locker room glue guy. Takes a lot to replace all that. Most underrated player on the team. Losing him would be a bigger deal than most people realize, if you ask me.

I like this flyer. Especially for the price. Not sure he's better than Brantley, but I will take it. It's also kind of funny having in mind just a few weeks ago he was bugging Mitchell on a live stream asking him "When are you going to get out of Utah?" and now he's traded here

That’s actually spot on. I guess if Joe stays next year for cheap aka 5 mill or less than it’s worth keeping him over Bogey. Who can we upgrade or equal out for Bogey is the hard part?
