Game 35: Utah Jazz (25-9) vs MinnesotaTimberwolves (16-18)

A lot of guys are listed as OUT for this one, mostly on the Wolves' side, though Conley is listed as OUT as well. I hope the Jazz remember what some of the Wolves' players said about them and play to make a point.

I'm thinking Conley is out in keeping with the plan of him only playing 1 game of aback to back and they want him fresh for the Warriors game Saturday to start the new year off right!

Extra motivation to prove the point about their nonsense comments will propel them to another lopsided win.

Jazz are saying it's a stiff back. See if he plays tomorrow vs. GSW.

Missed the game, but reading the box score, and am I seeing things right that Bogey had 12 rebounds? :o

I wonder what Edwards, Beverley and co. will have to say about the Jazz after this game.

Whiteside was ruled out of the second half with concussion-like symptoms. I am still not sure whether he is in or out for today's game against Golden State.

The Jazz came out flat after the half, getting outscored by 14 in Q3. I was going to blame the deficit on Whiteside's absence and our small ball lineup that filled in for a few minutes, but it turns out the small ball lineup of Gay, Bogey, O'Neale, Clarkson and Mitchell was only outscored for 3 of those 14 points. Nonetheless, I thought our small ball lineup looked pretty porous compared to having Gobert or Whiteside on the floor. Naz Reid got an offensive reb - putback- And One. Edwards attacked the rim and got a couple of layups.

The Jazz buckled down in Q4 and thoroughly dominated the quarter. The Jazz were up by 20 when Quin took the starters out. Mitchell had a lot of energy after having missed a couple of games, while pouring in a season high 39 points. Go Jazz!

This Gobert swat on Beverly in Q4 led to a Jazz fast break and two points on the other end.
