Wednesday night at 8pm PT on ESPN. Last game before All Star break.
I really want to win this road game against the Lakers. Both teams will be fighting hard to go in to the All Star break with a win. The Lakers have been losing a lot lately, but they still have the two guys, Lebron and AD, that led the Lakers to the 2020 championship. The Jazz have run off six wins in a row, but the wins have come at home against weak teams, and against the Warriors, Nets and Nuggets playing without key players. Go Jazz!

Last time the Jazz were in LA, they were on a back-to-back coming off a shorthanded win in Denver. Jazz just missed a crazy amount of shots. I think the Jazz win this game pretty handily. Their guys are back and the offense is clicking. The Jazz are a clearly better team on both ends.

I remembered the Lakers were hovering around .500 and now I'm surprised to see that they are already five games under .500. I didn't think they'd be this bad.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

I hope we win.
The problem is altough they aren't playing well, James, Davis and Westbrook have a lot of talent.
But we are a deeper team, and we need to win it to have a good taste before the all star break.

At noon MT, Rotowire has Rudy Gay OUT, Lebron tossup GTD, and A. Davis likely GTD.

Is Doris going to blow LeBron at the end of the game? Good hell.
Ingles is cooked.

I hope DM and Q plus the rest of the team realize that having DM go off and play so much hero all isn't the winning combination that will propel them in the playoffs. What a disappointing game. The Jazz have had WAY to many games like this where they rely on DM to take/make all the shots, then when teams gear up t0 defend him, it spells loss. I have never liked his hero ball play, he is so much, more effective when he gets his teammates more involved, when he isn't having to carry all of the load and when others are actively engaged and not instructed to watch. Not the Jazz basketball that is enjoyable to watch. And I'm not sure why they haven't figured it out that it is not a winning combination for this team.

I hate the inconsistency of this team.

Yep, we only had 17 assists and we only scored 101 points.
Donovan had very impressive stats, but there was a point late in Q4, at the 2:57 mark and Lakers down three, that Lebron pulled up to make an open 27 point three to tie the game at 94. Mitchell tried to answer with a difficult 29' pull up three of his own in someone's face and missed. I remember thinking right then and there that we were going to lose the game --- that as great as Mitchell is, he was unlikely to be able to dominate the last minutes of the game facing increased defensive pressure to the same extent Lebron still does from time to time.

I would have liked to have seen our big men get more shot attempts, especially in the second half considering All-Defensive player AD was out with injury. Gobert and Whiteside went a combined 4-6 for 12 points. In the second half, Whiteside had 1 fga and Gobert had 2 fga.

I am afraid they never will. Kobe did realize that at some point, but has higher BBIQ and still never was able to properly control his own heroics. I'm afraid DM&Q will not reach first stage (realization). DM will "just stay aggressive". A good number of ring-less offense-first superstars used this words and this approach for the whole life.
