As of 7:30am, Rotowire has Conley, Bogey, House and Doke listed OUT, and Whiteside and Forrest listed as tossup GTD. Conley is just OUT for the first game of a back to back. Rose and Nerlens Noel are OUT for the Knicks. This game should be another opportunity to get NAW, Butler and Hernangomez rotation minutes.
Rotowire is listing Clarkson in the expected starting lineup again, but he has only started one game this season and is our microwave scorer off the bench. They've also got Forrest listed as expected GTD starter. Assuming Rotowire is correct in posting Burks, Fournier, Barrett, Randle and Robinson for the Knicks' starting lineup, I vote to start Mitchell, NAW, Royce, Hernangomez and Gobert. Go Jazz!

NAW's first three 3pa looked pretty lame.

Team looked good with Butler at the point. Hernangomez has been making a decent effort on D imo.

Clarkson is a godsend on nights like these, when neither Bogey nor Conley is available......

Re: Game 71: Utah Jazz (44-26) @ New York Knicks (30-40)
Last night, with players OUT, we got the starting lineup I hoped for in the morning --- Mitchell, NAW, Royce, Juancho and Gobert. It was the first time I really got a good look at NAW playing, and to be honest, I thought his three point shot looked pretty shaky. It wasn't just that he was missing; I had no confidence it was going in, sort of how I feel when Trent Forrest attempts a three. I must be missing something though, because NAW shot nearly 35% from three his first two years in the league on 332 total attempts. I wonder if his shot has changed or something? He's only hitting threes at .307 this season. Get with the shooting coach?
I thought Hernangomez made a nice effort on D, including the three steals. He didn't shoot a good percentage, but his shot looks fine, and at least he made as many points as field goal attempts.
At the same time Hernangomez is showing that he can play in the rotation, Rudy Gay has strung together two super efficient games. I am not sure whether Gay will do it, but It would be fantastic if Gay somehow manages to arrive at the playoffs with good conditioning and good rhythm, which has been his goal all season long. Go Jazz!

NAW needs to be squared up with his feet set. The way he lofts the ball up, he really doesn't shoot well if he's off balance or playing off movement. He's mostly a spot-up shooter. However, that's more than Forrest can do, and it's enough that he at least draws a defender.

Our defense has been improved playing Gobert/Juancho as starters and Hassan/Gay from the bench.
Juancho rebounds fairly well, and I think he should be continue starting (playing more or less minutes) Bojan should play SF.
House and O'Neale should defend SF/SG and never PF.
