I think we can all agree that when Quin goes with his normal rotation we all lose some interest in the team. Thank God for injuries so we actually get to see NAW, Butler, Paschall and Hernangomez. If this became the rotation for the rest of the year would you feel better about this team going into the playoffs and next year?

Pf- Bojan 28min, Paschall 20min
Sf- Royce 28min, House 20min
Sg- Mitchell 28min, Naw 20min
Pg- Conley 24min, Mitchell 6min, Butler 18min

We become a lot younger and significantly more athletic and skilled on the perimeter. For me giving any minutes to Gay, Whiteside and Forrest over any of those bench guys is a complete waste. Those guys not only give us a better chance at winning this year but more importantly next year as well.

My hope recently has been that newcomers House, Naw and Hernangomez would all get chances to play some meaningful rotation minutes and that Quin might gain enough confidence in all three of the players to call on any of them in the playoffs depending on the matchups or how players are going in a given game. Same with Paschall and Butler.

Can't forget Clarkson, there have been several games this year where he has carried the team and won games that we would have lost without his play. Agree with Crunch, he has been terrific particularly since the AS break. What I like most is how he has morphed his game. Last year it was all a out the 3, this year, it started out that way again, but it wasn't falling, so he morphed (He calls himself the chameleon) and began his relentless attacking of the paint where he has learned how to take what he finds and make teams pay. His ball skills are terrific and his quickness keeps teams off kilter allowing him to weave inside for baskets. he has also made a concerted effort, as has Donovan since the AS break, to improve his defense. he is WAAY to important for this team.

Whiteside is also important. While he sometimes allows his emotions to dictate his interest, lately he has been making important contributions and his presence allow Rudy to get in game rest. he too is too important and there isn't anyone else who can do that on this team.

The depth of this team is terrific. Having players step up and make strong contributions when called upon has allowed the team to be more cautious with returning. Bogey keeping extra rest to completely heal up is a direct result of the good play of House, before his injury,NAW, Hernangomez, Paschal, and Butler.

It was last year right about now that Forrest was inserted and gained the respect of the team and coaching staff bc of his play when Conley went down. I think the Jazz have done a much better job this year of doing what they can to keep players fresh and healthy and ready for a deep run. My concerns about giving large leads away seems to have not been an issue the last few games. The best part of that is the new younger guys have been responsible for that energy.

Injuries and illness have forced the recent rotations and have unearthed quality players that weren't getting any floor time. The best part is that now there is a body of evidence where matchups could play a more important role in who gets playing time.
