Jazz 24 pick is top ten protected, which at this moment seems like a good bet for us to keep.

Ainge collecting picks again, but he really doesn't know how to use them IMO. Look at all the picks he had in BOS and really, all the only "players" they got out of it were Tatum and Brown. And honestly, it doesn't look like MIN picks are going to be anywhere close to what he obtained from the Nets.

Tatum and Brown are pretty damn good. Utah had a shot at trading for brown at one time. That was the biggest missed opportunity IMO. Gobert, Brown, Mitchell would have been fun.

Most of the ECC Celtics was built by Ainge. Outside of Horford, Ainge drafted every starter. There's not a ton of teams that can say that.
All starter level players Ainge has drafted: Tatum, Brown, Rob, Smart, Grant Williams, Rozier, Bradley, Gerald Green, Al Jefferson, Tony Allen
Lesser but still impactful role players West, Gomes, Moore, Sullinger, Pritchard
15 players with varying levels of success out of 40 picks really is pretty damn good track record for teams drafting players. And that's not even accounting for draft day trades that he made..let's not forget that he had the 1st pick in the draft.. traded down and still got the best player of the class in Tatum

^^ How does the double pick swap work in 2026?
Also, probably 14 FR picks as the OKC pick will probably convey at some point.

Zero picks
Jazz 1st to OKC (top 10 protected)
.... this is a prime example of why the Jazz value unprotected so much. When the Thunder and Jazz made the Favors trade, I'm sure OKC thought they would get that pick. Utah was not going to be in the top 10 in anyone's view in 2024 .... then all hell breaks loose, and now the Jazz look like they'll be top 5, let alone outside the top 10, and therefore keeping their pick.

This is hilarious. Dude built a second title contender but what the hey who cares.
Good luck Jazz fans, will take a few years and be up and down but I'm confident it eventually will hit big enough to be pretty fun.
Edit: for a quick review of what actually happened -
2014: Ainge drafted Smart at 6, tons of fans/media thought Randle was the right choice.
2015: didn’t have a high lotto selection, but had the highest total number of picks. Picked Rozier first, which was a hated pick overall that turned out to be one of the better ones of the draft. Lots of whiffs late in this draft, some bad luck as well as having so many picks in what turned out as a bad draft didn’t work well.
2016: J. Brown at #3, killed it.
2017: All time draft moves, took Tatum at #3 after trading #1.
2018: pick traded for Kylie Irving (obviously didn’t work well but that was largely the end of the pick pile).
He did whiff on a bunch of late picks, especially in the mid-2010s, but came around to land Rob Williams, Grant Williams and Payton Pritchard before moving on.

We get the best of the 3. I would imagine Minny will take the second best and Cavs the third best, but not sure about that...

And to think we may have given up a lottery pick (11-14) just to unload Favors. I don't miss Lindsey at all.

He really was bad at signing players and trades overall. He should have traded Hayward in the summer of 16 and whiffed. Traded multiple 1sts for PG rentals. Firsts and seconds to dump his FA mistakes. We could have had a superstar with all of the picks he traded.
