Utah Jazz face an undermanned Mavericks' team. Trap game?

Simply, we have to win. Nothing more, nothing less.

Kessler should feast in this game.

Actually, all the Mavericks' stars being out basically guarantees that we will lose this game......

Well, if Danny Ainge was on the fence as to pulling the trigger on a trade/s in the next few days, maybe this game will be enough to help that decision.
Utah is smack dab in the middle of no man's land where they should cash in on some assets but are in position to get some playoff experience if they stand pat.
I'm guessing we'll see one trade(Vanderbilt?) but not enough to pull the plug on the playoffs.

No excuse for losing this game. Jazz really dropped the ball on this one.

We need a wing defender...... We can't have Kessler be the only one capable of playing defense......

This is one of Ainge's weaknesses. Back in Boston, he held on to his assets too long waiting for that home run trade of the century type of deal to a point where the assets/picks have devalued.

To be fair, he's already made 2 of those trades here.......

He already hit two home runs in the offseason, but arguably he has already done what you have mentioned. Unloading some of the vets earlier this year would have pretty much guaranteed a top 5 pick, which in this draft is much more valuable than a couple of extra first round picks in the future, some of which could be protected or from teams that will have picks in the 20s.
