Game 71: Utah Jazz (35-36) vs Portland Trail Blazers (31-40)

Post#1 » by Inigo Montoya » Wed Mar 22, 2023 6:51 pm

ESPN's preview says:

"INJURIES:
Jazz: Collin Sexton: out (hamstring), Lauri Markkanen: out (back), Jordan Clarkson: out (finger).

Trail Blazers: Justise Winslow: out (ankle), Ibou Badji: out (knee), Jerami Grant: day to day (quad)."

While their gamecast only lists Clarkson as out, so it's unclear who will play.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Full practice yesterday so I'd assume he's playing unless there is some set back

Too many mistakes but still time. What happened to this board? This team has exceeded every expectation and has an exciting tour core and plenty of picks coming

What a bone-headed move by Arhidiacono.
Totally ZERO RESPECT on allstar player and his former teammate what a **** idiot.

The zone didn't work this time, portland basically had an open three or an open cut to the hoop every time they wanted.

While I'm enjoying the season, it is also very frustrating. We win games that we should lose, lose games that we should win, and continue to stay in place, a step from the playoff/play-in, and a step from the worst lottery pick. In the meanwhile, other teams are gaining better lottery positions and we can't catch them anymore, and other teams gain playoffs positions as well while we continue to hang in the balance. :banghead:

Basically we have lost 1 game vs Detroit, 1 vs Rockets, 2 vs Spurs, 3 vs Blazers, 1 vs Was... all out of playin.

Say you win 50% of those, and we will be 39-33, right now as 4th in the west. Crazy. 75% 41-31 and all of them 43-29 tied for 3rd.

Not to say 2 losses vs Bulls, 2 vs OKC... teams that aren't good at all.
