The Official Draft Night Thread

Post#1 » by Inigo Montoya » Mon Jun 19, 2023 4:07 pm

The time is upon us.

This thread is made for us to discuss the actual draft as it happens, pick by pick.

Due to the possibility for this draft to get crazy with trades and because the Jazz have 3 picks in the first round, there is more interest than usual and I intend on being here live for the whole thing.

See you on draft night!

The Jazz beat writers have been verrrrrry quiet on Twitter the last few hours. Makes me believe something is brewing.

It might be the new Jazz front office doing things differently than the previous one. They also didn't publicize their workouts this year. They are maybe more secretive and I'm fine with that. Ainge knows how to shake things up in the draft and it probably wouldn't work as well if there are leaks.

Dear Lord, that Gradey Dick outfit. He just dropped several spots on my board.

The outfits I've seen so far just make me realize how old I am.

Woj says that the Hornets are still looking to draft Miller. I like him a lot but I’ll go on record and say that I think they should draft Scoot.

Ainge is probably working hard to get #1 for #9 & #16... Trying to get a future 2nd thrown in for the Jazz.

Nah. Just going to stand pat and draft the second prospect in line from France. And he will turn into an All Star.

Breaking: Scoot Henderson was attacked by a pack of magpies as he left the arena. Dude is bedazzled as hell.

Btw, Shams Charania is breaking the picks ahead of time on Twitter, to those who are interested. Woj isn’t doing that this year.

First surprise: Detroit picking Ausar at 5. That could be really good. Now we just need some team to draft Black.

Yes! The Magic are taking Black at 6. We are guaranteed to have one of Whitmore, Hendricks or Walker on the board!
