Another important game with play-in implications. The Jazz better start winning those or by the end of the week they could find they played themselves out of the play-in.

Agreed, unfortunately, the two teams who were tied for several days and matched every W-L are now on deferent trajectories. Who are we kidding, they have been on a different trajectory for the last 2 years. The Lakers are doing what they can to remain in the hunt, the Jazz have done what they could to give up the fight and develop.

My only hope is that most of us have been gloomy and pessimistic enough to force a reverse jinx and pull out a miracle win: KG goes on a tear against Russell's mediocre defense. Hendricks plays solid D and knocks down some open threes. Hey, I can dream, can't I?

1. Well, this blows. What a mess of a third quarter. Ugh.
2. The Lakers played very well, they were hitting everything all night long. Hachimura was so on fire he was Hibachimura.
3. I thought Geroge played well. Kessler was decent but man, he's got to learn how to use his body and be physical when trying to score anything that isn't an open dunk.
4. Teams are starting to be physical with Markkanen and so far it's working for them. But the Jazz have to find a way to utilize him better because he's being underutilized and forced to tough shots due to the offense not creating good looks for him or a lot of touches in general.
5. Clarkson helped in the first half with his hot shooting but once he cooled off it wasn't pretty.
6. I hope what the Jazz did at the trade deadline won't cause this team to completely collapse but it doesn't feel good right now. Hope that late first and second round pick in a weak draft were worth it. Ainge better find the next Jokic with one of those picks.

I never ever saw so much open 3p as Lakers did in 1-st quarter. They miised first 5 or 7 but as soon as some of them started fall in it became too painfull to observe. Plus 2 missed dunks from Kessler and Larry... I went off the comp and read a book.
