The future

Let’s assume our picks over the last two years hit.

Collier-George-Williams/Hendricks-Lauri-?.

Let’s assume Walker doesn’t work out, who’s our starting 5? Do we find him in the draft or trade for him?

Kind of hard to assume that because Kessler looks like the biggest hit so far. He's already proven he is a legitimate NBA player who can be a nice starter and has a defined role.

Also, even if all our picks hit it doesn't mean all of them are starter-level players, they'll have to prove that.

Anyway, I hate to say it but unless the Jazz manage to swing big trades for star players, the roster is aligning towards a different timeline than Markkanen's. I hope that the Jazz tank next season and I hope they can do it well with him.
Draft Nate Wolters - FAILED
Keep Nate Wolters - FAILED

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

My assumption would be out of our 1-3 years players, the ones that hit meaning near allstar or Allstar. Trade one of Collier/George and Hendricks/Williams plus picks for upgrades at deadline or next summer. Hopefully they have similar output but we send the ones we believe will not have as good of careers.
