Oi! He had been one of the bright spots this year, I’m very worried this sets him back like it did Exum. He just needs the experience and he’ll probably take all of three just getting comfortable moving again.

A word of caution regarding healing of a broken ankle and fibula.
I had a VERY bad broken wrist when I was 41 because I was doing something crazy for someone my age.
Anyway, I waited like 16 hours to get to a HAND, Wrist and Elbow specialist. Had an office full of patients with broken fingers, wrists and hands.
After a 2 1/2 hour wait, said to him "do what you have to to make it as good as new." 25 days in a "L" cast to the top of my shoulder, 3 more weeks in a new cast to my elbow, and when he took the second cast off, and I asked "when will I be able to fall to the floor and catch my body weight one handed?" he said
"Bone fills in on an xray in 6 weeks. It will take 2 years to get to the same bone density you had previously."

The fact that Hendricks' severe injuries happened without contact is very concerning to me. Rightly or wrongly, it makes me wonder if Hendricks is one of those unfortunate athletes, who through no fault of their own, is made of glass.
I hope he recovers faster and better than expected. Hendricks seems like a very good, hard working, focused young man.

idk, watching the injury his body weight fell on his leg at an awkward angle, honestly more makes me worried about his coordination than being made of glass. But lack of coordination might lead to the same problems long term.

You may well be right. The link to the video of the injury was no longer working by the time I read about it.
