Durant is out but that's not an excuse for winning the game

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Lauri is playing really uninspired this season and looks like he put too much weight on his frame.
Teams are also really aggressively going after his bad passing.

Yeah, he is really poor at making plays against double teams, but that's always been known. Jazz have forced him out of his comfort zone hoping he could become a real on-ball star, but have only managed to ruin his confidence. An elite off-ball scorer can't thrive in a team lacking a primary playmaker and with bad passing and ballhandling overall. He is still hitting over 40% from three, but his attempts are down by 2.5 per game = minus 1 made shot, while he is not getting any easy buckets inside and struggling to finish in traffic. Lauri is below Clarkson, Collins and Keyonte in FGA/36. For his own good I hope Ainge finally trades Lauri to a real team next summer.
At this point, after making a decision to stay in Utah I don't see how anyone could feel inspired in this team.
Only Collins is playing with energy and freedom, having a green light on offense, and could hopefully earn himself a trade away.
Flip looking like a long-term NBA player is about the only positive of this season so far.

Collins and Flip played very well. Markkanen needs a good playmaker because he's not getting good looks or easy baskets. He should take this tanking season as an opportunity to expand his game even if it doesn't work out. But Hardy also needs to help him out a bit with better plays and schemes.
And Williams needs to work on...well, everything.
