Post#1 » by Fido » Fri Feb 7, 2025 12:26 am

Per Ben Anderson on X:

Outgoing: Drew Eubanks, Patty Mills

Incoming: KJ Martin, five second round picks (all other waived contracts only impact current year's cap)

Incoming pick details:
- LA Clippers 2025 2nd
- Least favorable of the most favorable of these 2025 2nd from [Detroit, Golden State, Washington] and Mavericks 2025 pick
- Least favorable 2028 2nd from [Utah, Detroit, New York]
- LA Clippers 2030 2nd (Jazz previously had swap rights, now own outright)
- Most favorable 2031 2nd from [Miami, Indiana]

I’d expect those 2025 seconds to be packaged with JC/Collins/Sexton to try and bring back 1st in the offseason.

I’m surprised we didn’t hear from contenders about any of them.

Who says we didn't? Most likely Danny just didn't like the offers he was getting enough to pull the trigger.
New York said Mitchell wasn't the guy you trade the sink for, then they traded it for Mikal, lol.

Well, that's kind of a spectacular failure from him then as those guys were acquired by him solely to be traded later, lol.

The value of those 3 may be higher next season/in the off-season as they not only could help a contender, but would be an expiring deal.

This break down conviently left out that we also traded three first round picks and got one back.

Sexton is worth a 1rst on his own merits. No one wants to pay, but you don't get a Sexton with a #25 pick, not even a #15 pick most years.

Yeah, I debated how far to go back and still consider it a "trading deadline" deal. The 3-for-1 happened on January 21 and with the trade deadline February 6, I didn't go back to include it.
