https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/281126/Jordan-Clarkson-Jazz-Agree-To-BuyoutJordan Clarkson and the Utah Jazz have agreed to a contract buyout. Clarkson is already expected to receive interest from multiple playoff teams once he clears waivers. Clarkson will likely sign a one-year deal in free agency to play for a contender before rejoining the open market next offseason when more teams have cap space.
Clarkson, who is represented by Rich Paul and Brandon Cavanaugh, had one season remaining on his three-year, $55 million renegotiate-and-extend contract signed in 2023.
Clarkson averaged 16.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 26.0 minutes over 37 games last season for the Jazz.

We are going to miss him, but he can't help.
We are not going to tank, because we are not going to be able to win.

Wish him the best. He’s a G. The moment with the reporter asking if he went to Jazz games is one of the best moments in sports history.

Jordan Clarkson gave back roughly $3.6 million in his Utah buyout, sources say, about the same veteran's minimum amount the veteran guard is expected to earn when he signs with New York upon clearing waivers.

Hi all - Knicks fan here. Wanted to get your read of Clarkson particularly on defense. The metrics and eye test were… challenging last year, but was that a function of motivation or is that just how he always plays?

Never in his career was Jordan Clarkson traded for or signed by a team for his defense. I wouldn't have high expectations from him on that end.

Pretty much this...
Him and Mitchell once took exception to Rudy begging them to give effort on D. This is all you need to know. He never was a defender and I doubt he will be one in the future.

The media was trying to make Rudy the villain but he was always giving it his all, and still does. Never understand the hate for a guy who plays his heart out.
