I will get something set up in the next couple days. Here is to a fun year watching the young guns grow.

Yes please do, you did a great job. I have a little more time this year but you did great. Also do we like guessing all ten games at once or do we want to go back to one game at a time. I am up for either way.

I think a bunch of games at once is easier to maintain. We can always make adjustments and it will be easier to find posts that notify on a change in a guess when there are less posts of individual games for them to get loss in.

I agree with the posting of several games at a time. That gives everyone an opportunity to either guess each game individually or as a group. As Inigo said, if you choose to go the group guess route and want to change your guess before the tipoff, no problem. Some players like guessing for each game. I can keep up with it either way for scoring.
Lets hope we get several additional players!

Scoring will be the same as last year.


Each game will have a bonus question worth 5 points, if you answer it correctly you get 5 points, wrong answer gets 0 points.
If a player doesn't play after being part of the question, everyone who has guess an answer for that game will get the 5 points. Example, who has more points George or Collins, Collins sits that game then everyone will earn 5 points.
My counterpart TN Jazz will take care of the scoring, I will try to make more smaller batches, so we don't run into that as often.

If you guess the correct point differential and team winning you gain 10 points.
If you are within 1-3 points you get 7 points.
If you are within 4-7 points you get 5 points.
If you are 8 or more points you get 3 points.
If you guess the wrong team winning you get -3 points, point differential doesn't matter.

Jazz predicted to be 29/30 this year by ESPN. With the Jazz not tanking (at least the first half), that record seems like they are sleeping on the Jazz. There aren't really any super teams in the NBA these days outside of OKC. I could see 35 wins this year.

Well that game was a shocker! I don't think I have seen it where everyone misses the correct team AND the bonus. FJS & Age1207, hopefully you will play again this year. Now would be a good time to get in as you would be in the lead!

I understand, I don't like to either, but I am having to look at this as a necessary step to try and get back to a better way of supporting a winning team. Makes it a bit more difficult to predict. It is definitely a very different way to play. If you aren't going to play this year, maybe you can come back out of retirement next year when they are supposed to become more relevant and competitive. You are a two time champ after all!
