Very interesting read.
My question to everyone who is our Big 3?
What three players do we have that possess skill and chemistry that is needed to win a title.
Portland has a big three waiting in the wings (Aldridge, Roy, Oden), it's time for us to unload a big contract, and pick three to build around.
And by big three, I really mean what big contract
player do we keep in addition to Deron and Carlos?

It was supposed to be Andrei, Might still be? depends on if he can keep ahold of his sack and not have another melt down.
I think the supporting cast is coming along, If fess and almond pan out.......sky is the limit in the next couple years.

I don't think Andrei is good enough at any one thing to be counted on in this regard. We are really still missing one of our big three, other than in salary.

It's completely up in the air for some player to come and grab. The development of Miles, Almod, Brewer, Millsap and solid pray from Kirilenko and Okur are obvsiously all part of the equation. It's not something that can be assigned, though. Someone will eventually step up and take it.
If you ask me, the third peg of our big three will not be Memo or any other center that might replace him, but will emerge at the shooting guard position in the form of someone atheletic who can consistently drain big shots, complementing Deron's court Savvy and Boozer's low-post dominance, sort of like the Parker-Ginobli-Duncan trinity in San Antonio.

I agree, we really are building outside the model.
We have quality role players, but really only a big two.
The Jazz were most successful under the big 3 model, Stockton, Malone, Hornacek, and a really good role player in Russell.
We currently have two solid stars in Williams and Boozer, but many good role players. None of which, who have really solidified themselves as the third player.

Look at that though. If you look at the Jazz big three in the finals year it was Stockton, Malone, and Hornacek. Two all stars one specialist (3's FT's). Jordan, Pippen, Rodman. Again, two all stars and one specialist (rebound). That 3rd guy doesn't need to be an all star season after season, that's pretty rare. However I don't know who it is for us. As we needed someone to come up and claim some leadership (Boozer and Williams) a few years ago, someone needs to come up and claim that 3rd spot of a big 3. AK has the talent, but so do a few others. They just need to play consistent and then you have 3 huge threats on the court. Ak has shown signs of being that guy but he hasn't been consistent enough to take that spot yet.
