that is why i believe that the fan vote should only make up half of the equation for the starters. the fan base in america is just way to biased. how in the world is dwayne wade a starter on the east all-star team? his team has lost like 15 straight games! if he is so good, why is his team not better? it just goes to show you how the media controls sports. people are so stupid that they vote for who the MEDIA tells them to vote for. how sad has this country become? i could care less who is on the all-star team for either conference. it is a meaningless, street ball game. why do they even waste money on it? what a shame.

I'll be more pissed if Yi Jianlian starts because of the votes from China.

thats why it needs to be 1/3 fans, 1/3 players, 1/3 media....and then the coaches vote the reserves.

Who cares about All-Star games anymore anyway? Back when Malone played, All-Star games meant something. Today. its nothing more than a representation of who is the most violent, thuggish players on the court (or the most Chinese)...

And the great people of Utah have weighed in.

Comments like this make me embarrassed to be a Jazz fan. It's no wonder outsiders have such a low opinion of Utahns.

Well considering I am an outsider and not a Utahn, its comments like yours that make it easy for me to see why Utahns are so embarrassed of themselves. (I dont speak for all of you, just the self-loathing types like Tabasco...)

The next time you try to make a witty comeback at least try to make sense.

The next time you try to insult a fellow Utahn, make sure he is a fellow Utahn first. Moron.

I wasn't trying to insult a fellow Utahn. I was trying to insult you.

And next time you call someone a moron, try not to do it in the same thread where your dumb ass just got done spounting off a bunch of thinly veiled racist garbage.

And the great people of Utah have weighed in.

You know. This internet thingy has an amazing capability. People from all over the whole WORLD can actually use it!!!

Not to mention, there's another fairly amazing fact you may have overlooked. Not all Jazz fans are from Utah, and/or don't reside in Utah!!!

Holy crap, I know those two things are really amazing and difficult for some to comprehend, but it's true!

Yo Tobasco...go re-read my post. I never said a single thing that was racist. But since you hate your own identity so much, you take everything offensively....

It's not the state of Utah its the national scene that got Deron snubbed from the ASG.

I voted for Deron at least 30 times since it started and finished.

Unfortunately Chris Paul is the nation's darling for next generation point guard. Commericals and major sports sites LOVE him. (which he deserves due to his team's record)

Plus the game is in NO.

I would choose Deron over Chris to this very day.

Actually I would rather Boozer or Deron take vacation and rest for ASWeekend, but that's just me.

The ASG is just a bunch of ball hogs playing one on one basketball not caring who wins the game until the last two minutes of the game. BORING.

Well, duh. Anyone who has followed the Jazz for more than one season must be used to the lack of votes for Utah players...

I vote once, just for my own amusement really. But at the end of the day I know it'll be the usual suspects starting, Yao, LBJ, AI, and then just hope the coaches have the sense to reward the best players.
