Odom for Kirilenko? Laker asking..

Hey guys,
Kirilenko is my favorite non-Laker in the league. the guy is a beast in my opinion. I know the option has been thrown out before but would you trade him for Odom?
Odom plays SF and even better PF, he's long..nickname "the walking mismatch." It seems like you guys are pretty stacked with at SF, PF but I get the feeling Sloan doesn't like Kirilenko. Would you guys trade him for Odom or no?
If not, is there a fair trade with the Lakers you could think of for Kirilenko?

As things are right now, probably not. AK has been on fire as of late, and as long as he can consistently knock down his jumpshots, i don't think he's going anywhere at the moment.

No thanks! AK is back and he's going no where!!
However, I will give you Jarron Collins for Bynum and Jason Hart for Farmar.

No thanks. What is the argument how Odom makes the Jazz better than Kirilenko does, particularly with the way that AK has been playing lately? Odom wouldn't like Utah at all, and I don't see the Jazz trading a fan fave for Odom. Now if it is Bynum and Farmar that is on the table...

got it... The only reason I brought it up was I thought Kirilenko wanted to be traded so he was on the block. It wouldn't make the Jazz better. but it would not make them worse;
As far as "fitting the Jazz's system." Maybe Farmar and Walton? a good smart backup point guard and a new best friend for Harpring and Korver?
I'm sure Sloan would approve.

The whole on the block thing got blown out of proportion. Im not saying the Jazz wont trade him, but with the way he is playing he wont be dealt this season. I am certain if someone came to us this summer with a great offer the Jazz will listen and possibly accept.

Im not so sure if AK is on, who compliments the team better? I can't really think of a single guy in the nba, that is if AK is on.

At the end of last season, when Kirilenko's value was in the garbage, this may have started a conversation. Since then, AK's value has gone back up, while Odom's seems to be declining...so at this point in time we respectfully decline

Remember the trade board? Ive never seen anything like it. Every trade on the board for a week was a Ak low ball offer. The funny part was everyone thought there crazy sh*t trades were fair. Would'nt demand increase his value? Glad we did not trade him.

Ak has been shooting extremely well for over a month now and has been all-star caliber for 3 straight games.
But it's more than that. Ak leads the team in blocks, picks up the slack nightly with hundreds of putbacks on our missed layups, brings a unique energy to the floor, and as we all know can fill up a stat sheet.
I think if we traded him out of fear that he might complain again that we would see how much he did on the Jazz.
I have a feeling his outbursts were like Karl Malone and Koby's. They have a bad day, cry about it, it stops raining and they're fine.

I don't know if it's a fluke, and it probably is, but, AK actually has a jumpshot the last few games.
That was all he needed to become a complete player. Just the ability to hit an open jumpshot.
I'm not saying he's now got that ability, but, I'll take a streaky shooter over a poor shooter any day. It gives one hope that he'll one day become consistant.

You guys want to read something funny, go to the Knicks board, they think we want to trade Ak and are comming up with some amusing trades.

I read it. It was hilarious. At first I thought that it was older but it was posted yesterday.
Some had us giving up Ak, Harp, and back their 2010 pick for Marbury, and Balkman.

Was that because Marbury's value is so high right now?

Raptor fan here. Love AK's game, but just to play Devil's advocate, I could see the logic of moving AK. You guys have Boozer, Okur, Deron and Millsap all becoming FA after next season. There is no way the Jazz will be able to keep all these guys without going over the luxury tax threshold.
Just as an estimate.
Okur will ask for around 10 per year
Boozer will ask for 15 a year
Deron gets Max around 13 a year
Millsap MLE at that time is 7 a year
Those four guys put the Jazz at 45 million already, add in AK you are at 60 million for 5 guys. I think the odd man out will be either Okur or AK, but given that C's are tough to come along AK might be the odd man out.
I don't think he'll get traded this season, but in the off-season it is fair game. I'm guessing in any trade you guys would want some sort of cap relief along with a young SF prospect. So not to say Marbury and Balkman is the right deal, but I can see you guys going for a 3 for 2 or 4 for 2 deal of expiring contracts. Gives the team more depth and financial flexibilit as well.
