Jazz acquire Tom Gugliotta, 2004 first-round draft pick, future Knicks first-round draft pick, 2005 second-round draft pick and cash from Phoenix for Keon Clark and Ben Handlogten.
1. DERRICK FAVORS, C
Atlanta
6-foot-9, 220 pounds
"His size, power and raw athletic ability is reminiscent of Amare Stoudemire at the same stage."
2. LANCE
STEPHENSON, PG
New York
6-5, 200
"A strong, precocious combo guard with a winner's mentality."
3. XAVIER HENRY, SG
Oklahoma City

"Strong, yet smooth left-hander who shoots the ball all the way to the three-point line with accuracy."
4. DEXTER

"A very quick and smooth athletic slasher."

I'm confused. Isn't this the pick we traded to Philly for Korver? Or was that a different pick?

Hell no! Kevin was smarter than that. It is protected longer and has an escape valve lower in the second to last year in case bad things happen.

Yes but wait and see, that'll be the year some wonder coach comes in and helps them to win 55 games. Our luck as Jazz fans.

You're all (Please Use More Appropriate Word). Philly gets our NY pick BUT it's protected. If it's a lottery pick, we still get it in 2010, but if it's 20+ or whatever the rules were, Philly would get it...which is fine cuz we wouldn't want it anyway. I'm sick of you all spouting off BS.

There is protection on both the pick coming from New York and the pick going to Philly so it is confusing but here is a summary as I understand it:
On the pick coming from NYK:
- top 23 protected in 2008
- top 22 protected in 2009
- unproteced in 2010

On the pick to 76ers:
2009

The Philly pick can be any Jazz pick after the protection. It will unlikely be the NY pick.
