Trade for Jerome James??

We'd probably have to include picks some picks (unfortunatelly give back their's) to get them to do this.
I think it'd help our size inside. A 7'1 avg. center doesn't come by often, and given we don't even have a 7'0 player down low, I think he'd be of "big" (pun intended) help.
Wiretap: Jerome James: 'Use Me Or Move Me'
NY get's serviceable roleplayers which is what they need at this point. Team players. Also Hart may help at PG depth given Marbury's injury.

You bash Gira and want to trade for this clown? Wow.

What is it with you idiots and Gira? You guys are even worse than I was when the whole Arroyo deal. The guy was a cancer, he got traded, and we're MUCH better.
However, we need size, and with not much to give, considering this guy maybe possible for "nothing" (Hart and Collins), one has to think about it.
Oh and BTW, go and take your crew of flunkies over to the sixer's board and praise Gira all you want there. I couldn't give less about that piece of **** and the fact that you guys are still beating on it is beyond me.

Well, it does free up a roster spot next season.... thats about all the good it does. I like Price playing the backup PG but we need a third, and the hatred of Hart is exaggerated in this forum.

How 'bout we bring Dee over for that 3rd spot?!?
And still, to be honest, this guy can potentially be better than Collins, and at worse, he can't be worse. So we really don't lose much, except if we have to add picks and ****. That could be the deciding factor, if they ask too much. I'd still really think it over.

You don't even answer the question and ask why you're an idiot??

I figured you got the answer in my response, maybe I shouldnt be asking why you call others idiots. NO, I dont want to trade for that loser. Did that spell it out clear enough?

While I thank you for getting back on topic, I point out that your reading comprehension might not be up to par...

So you quoted a question by me, and you did not answer it.
Again, thanks for getting back on topic, and to be honest, I don't know why one wouldn't at least consider a deal that rids us of Collins and Hart for a guy that could potentially really help us at that backup C spot.

Bayamon: last warning. Knock off the personal insults. Just because someone doesn't like the idea, doesn't entitle you to call him an "idiot". Next time is suspension time.
As for trading for James, I don't like it either. He's not a very good basketball player, his conditioning is terrible, and his work ethic is nothing to be proud of. Sloan would (rightly) bench him, and his salary would go towards absolutely nothing.

I think that the only team that would be stupid enough to trade for Jerome James would be the New York Knicks...oh, wait, they already have him. If he was properly motivated and in shape, Jerome James could maybe help us, but not enough to justify the money he gets paid. As things currently stand, he's worthless to us.

Why trade for James?? What, are we in "gut the team" mode? We've got Booz/Okur/and AK, with Millsap waiting to relieve any one of them for minutes. What the heck would Jerome James do for us???

James had one good playoff series three years ago. He has demonstrated a lackof desire and a laziness second to none.

I'm sorry then...
The fact is, as many have alluded to here, we could use (and almost need) more help down low, especially from our backup C spot. And to be honest, I think with what we have to spare (Collins and Hart), this is as best a deal as there is. I don't think we'd have a shot at any other decent 7'+ big out there for what we offer (again, Collins and Hart).
If he's that bad (I knew he had a bad rep, but not as bad, really) then OK, but in terms of play, I don't think he could be worse than Collins, as backup, and he's bigger. Who knows, maybe he'd like it here (as it's a similar situation than Seattle, and it's way better than with NY), but if he's a cancer and a bum, then you're right, and let's just hope Collins get's less bad.
