If and When the Jazz make the playoffs...

Post#1 » by HouseofBoozer » Wed Feb 6, 2008 4:28 pm

We are privileged to have 13 on our roster with one inactive during the playoffs. Who do we choose to call up on the playoff roster Fes or Almond?

My own response to this is Fes, because we may need a big defensive center in a series in the playoffs. I think we may be underestimating the potential this kid has. The Jazz have found a knack for developing in house players, and I think we have the Defensive stopper in the middle we need, he's just a little raw. Playoff experience would do him wonders after having the opportunity to play in the D-League all year long rather than ride the pine.

I'd say Fesenko too. We have a bunch of guys that can play the 2 so bringing Almond up would make much sense. But we don't have much backup if our bigs get into foul trouble.

Now that Phoenix has added Shaq, this is a no-brainer: FES to the Rescue!

First off, in 2006 the rosters were expanded to 15 with 12 being active so both Fess and Almond will be on the inactive roster. It use to be 13, but not anymore, last season was the first year the rosters were expanded to 15. So that kinda makes this thread pointless....and everyone would pick Fess.

lol....not that it should matter much, but Fess would be the no-brainer barring a serious injury or two to one of our swingmen before the playoffs start.

Fes makes more sense. There will be no playing time for Almond so what's the point in bringing him up?

I'd say Fess, because no matter what we'd be playing a team with a tough center.
