This article posted on ESPN's TrueHoop page, by Henry Abbott, claims that the Sixers 2nd round pick belongs to us.

Is this from the Henderson deal? I thought that all of that was taken care of when we got Fes, wasn't it? Or is this from the Korver deal?

Judast, think about that....we have done 3 trades with one team in less than one calendar year.

Anyway, I wasn't aware of this, can anyone verify?

Well you got a point there. I thought we still had that pick. To be honest, I don't mind losing a couple of second round picks cause more more salary to be given to us. I am eager to look at the production of that NY pick. I am really rooting that as the bigs for New York become older and rotten that we get a top 5 pick.

But back to the original question erudite, I think Shiek usually has answer to these stuff. The resource I used is often mocked as an invalid one for salaries and other stuff so I have decided not to stand by it.

It seems to me that when Kevin O'Connor was interviewed after the Fes' trade, he said that the Jazz are still owed a Sixer's conditional second round pick (from the draft where we traded them the very last pick in the draft) and future considerations (from the Alan Henderson deal). We also owe them future considerations (from the Fes' deal) and a conditional protected first (from the Korver deal). Additionally, if the first rounder is never eligible to be claimed by Philly by 2012 (I think), then Philly gets the Jazz 2nd rounder and cash.

It makes sense that there would be a lot of dealings between Philly and Utah, because KOC worked for the Sixers before the Jazz hired him. Also, He was an assistant coach under Larry Brown (currently a sixers VP) at UCLA.

I will look up the exact details later, but Jdub got it right for the most part.

We traded our last pick in the 2nd rd(I cant remember the yr) for a future 2nd. The henderson trade was for the right to swap draft picks(which I thought was this year). The Fess deal was for future considerations, whether that is money or a 2nd round pick is yet to be seen and again as already stated the Korver deal involves a protected pick, which will most likely be our 2010 1st rd pick. Its completely lottery protected and partially top 25 protected with the protection going down 1 or 2 every yr. If for some reason they dont get the pick by 2012 then its a 2nd rd pick and cash.

I think we have the right to swap 2nd rd picks with phila this yr...but when I get the info I will relay it here.

Im not sure about that whole right to swap picks thing from the Alan Henderson trade.

The Fess deal is just labeled as future draft consideration.

I found this in the "past years trades" for 2007:

Philadelphia has the right to swap 2007 second-round picks with Utah. (Alan Henderson trade 022207).

The only outstanding trades involving Jazz picks as of now appears to be:
First Rounders
- Philadelphia receives a Utah 2009 first round pick (protected)(Kyle Korver trade 12-29-07).
- Utah receives a 2008 New York first-round pick (top 23 protected in 2008, top 22 protected in 2009 and unproteced in 2010) (Tom Gugliotta trade 02- 19- 04) via Phoenix (Marbury trade) Phoenix receives a 2005 New York Knicks first-round pick. (01-05-04 Marbury trade).

Second Rounders
- Philadelphia receives future draft considerations from Utah (Kyrylo Fesenko trade 06-28-07).
- Utah receives a conditional 2008 Philadelphia second-round pick (Top 45 protected in 2008, top 40 protected in 2009, and unprotected in 2010 ) (60th pick trade 06-07-05).
