Meh, Bonzi is terribly overrated and where is mike james gonna fit in with pargo and paul already? If anything, we should be worried about Houston "making room" for Artest..

The Jazz own the Hornets. The Hornets, though the currently have the best record in the west, are one team I certainly wouldnt mind facing in the playoffs. Infact, compared to all teams, I'd rather face the Hornets. Call me a lunatic if you must, but the Jazz just have certain teams numbers and own them. The Hornets are one of those teams.

big deal...Pargo hurts us more then James ever will. Since they had Pargo they essentially traded for Bonzi in a hope that he will add to their bench. Either way he doesnt hurt us anymore then the starting 5 + Pargo. Houston is clearing room for Brooks with Jackson around as insurance in case he hits a wall or Skip gets hurt. This deal is a wash for both teams.

Strange trade - why mess with something that works? I can understand that they are thinking forward to a grueling playoff series that they need to get some rest for cp3 but still...

Adding Wells and Mike James is like bringing crack heads to your birthday party, it changes the chemistry. Wells is about the worst headcase this side of Artest and Mike James has never seen a ball he didn't want to shoot. I think this is a risky move to get a backup for CP3, they would have been better off trying to pry Cassell from the paperclips or a vet free agent guard. Bobby Jackson has been great for them IMO adding lots of energy and grit - neither wells nor james does that. I think they will regret this move.

For us it is pretty good, we'd much rather play against james/wells than having to face Cp3 for extended minutes.

the trade is actually pretty good for Houston. Bobby Jackson is exactly who they need, a change up guard that brings lots of energy and scoring. Remember last series and their bench scoring? that won't happen with Bobby J.

Wells and James were misfits in houston anyway so good trade for them.

I don't think this really makes the Hornets much better. Where will James fit in with Paul/Pargo? Bonzi is overated and could create chemistry problems.

I hate Houston. I hope we take their sorry asses out of the playoffs again.

I honestly think this trade hurts the Hornets and I'll tell you why.

Bobby Jackson is a savy veteran, and was once a very good, small go to point guard who used mostly his speed to change the game, that is exactly what CP3 and Jannero Pargo are.

Now, with him gone there are no veteran players to mentor CP3 on what to do, and when you are heading into the playoffs that is a real set back.

In addition, you get two bad lockerroom guys, and everybody knows, one bad apple in the locker room is containable, but two makes it hard.

Throwing off the consistency of a young team that is heading for its first real run is trouble.

This move is the defintion of a young team having too much success at too young of an age and now instead of being patient trying to get everything they can in very little time.

Too much, too quick.

If anyone thinks Houston would have given up those two guys for no reason they've got another thing coming.

I still think they will fall to the fourth of fifth seed, the Jazz will meet them in the playoffs and those new guys are just a few more players the Jazz can beat down when the games really count.

I have to disgree with most of you and say that i think this trade makes the Hornet's bench a bit more solid.

Bobby Jackson is Adeleman's guy from way back.

Only problem is that this is Bobby Jackson 2008, not Bobby Jackson 2002.

This all might be a potential band-aid on the real problem - which is that Rafer Alston is not a starting 1 on a championship caliber team.

I think Houston benefits a whole lot more from this than you would think. Bobby Jackson knows how to ball, and I would have loved if the Jazz could have gotten their hands on him.

I like the point earlier made too about losing a veteran. They need a lot of mental toughness with teams like ours and the new look Western Conference. Remember that they are just 5 1/2 games away from 9th place team, Golden State who just beat the Celtics. They can have a skid at any moment. Geez, the Mavs are two games out of the playoffs. Bobby who is essential keystone to their chemistry now will be gone, and the already exploited star Paul will be put now even more burden. An off night by Paul we can already call it a +1 in the L column for them.

I'll be glad to learn. I have watched few games, and Bobby has been unbelievable off the bench, and a strong help to close out some games. Correct me if I am wrong, I watch 82+playoff games a year for the Jazz. I'll be lucky if I hit half a dozen of your team.
