Can someone explain how you lose to the Timberwolves by 11 on the road and beat the Pistons by 8 at home on a back to back? I can't understand how a team can be so bad on the road and so good at home. Does the crowd motivate the Jazz players that much?

yes. they are the weirdest team in the league. they epitomize the definition of jekyll and hyde.

Alot of it is beacuse they are such a young team (2nd youngest in the league i think?). Young teams historically do worse on the road than more experienced teams (Pistons, San Antonio).

I really don't know what else to say. this is discussed all the time here...it's all in their heads.

they play to the level of their competition. they always have.

Remember that San Antonio lost to Sacramento and Memphis. Any team in the NBA can win on any given night especially at home.

The Jazz's Dr. Jeckel / Mr. Hyde home and road record is the sign of a team full of youth. Remember that we are the second youngest team in the league. How dominant we are at home is a testament to how good we can be in the future.

I think too many of us expect a championship this year (I'm guilty at times). We should Hope for a championship but have patience to let this team mature.

Its insane how streaky the Jazz are.

Its all about effort, simple as that.

Well, we are a young team, but Boozer has like 6 years in the League, Memo, Harpring, AK all are vets. Deron is going to his third year.

We are very young, but I wouldnt say not experient.

I really dont know why we lost so many (some of them easy) games on the road, but I dont think is as simple as that. May be lack of focus.

Its weird, no question about it.

What's interesting is that if we had only a 16-14 road record (instead of our 12-18,) we'd have the best record in the west at 41-17.

Weird yet strangely appealing. Infuriating, young.... I dunno.

Jazz are young and play to the level of the opponent.

ABout the Home vs. Road ... you really have to understand that we have the best home court in the NBA. Our fans are crazy. We gave our team who was down by 12 a standing ovation IN THE 3RD QUARTER!!!!!!! We get in the refs ear and we intimidate the other team.

Man the other arenas must be tea parties. I have been in the top few rows at Jazz games and T-Wolf games. The T-Wolf games were always meaningless, and you can judge by the fact I got 1st row behind the bench seats for free, no one cares. At the Jazz games I don't see or hear craziness. I see rich people and the trophy wives/future trophy wives they wish to impress and polite applause. I also hear the occasional YA!

True. The Jazz seem to never really care when they play mediocre teams. NO EMOTION WHAT SO EVER in these situations.

Now.. when we play great teams we play hard. We might struggle against the Lakers and Spurs, but we play hard vs great teams, and we're often successful.

So vs the Wolves.. meh.

VS Detroit. Well we really dominate the Pistons. 8 straight wins vs Detroit? I believe so. We made a great comeback, that's for sure, but hey, if we could do this against one team, it's certainly the Pistons. I'd LOVE a Pistons vs Jazz final. Jazz in 5 or 6.

You are right... we were tied for 2nd with Seattle, but after their trade Frenzy and their 12 draft picks over the next 3 years bazaam... We are now second to Portland.

Think about it... Deron is 23, and Steve Nash is almost 34.

Boozer is about 26, Duncan is 32..

Even Okur is not too old and shabby....

I think Utah and Golden State have the loudest crowd in the nba and scream for every basket. Thats why they play so much better at home.
