I am starting to get quite frustrated with Jerry's overuse of Matt Harpring in the fourth quarter. I think Matt is definitely a less-is-more player and having him on the court at the same time as Boozer, Okur and Williams is a bad idea.

At this point Matt's only real strengths are his scoring and as a hatchet man. Scoring isn't what we need when we've got Booz, Memo, Deron and KK on the floor. What we need is playmaking.

Andrei should be on the court A LOT more than Harpring with this lineup because he is our second best passer and a much better defender. Andrei starts a fast break about a million times better than linebacker Matt, and he knows that there actually is an option to pass to a teammate, something Matt only does as a last resort (and even then its only 50/50 that he wont jack up a bad shot or get a layup blocked).

Keep Matty on the court with the second unit where he can shoot that nice jumper from the elbow, but get him off the court when all he's doing is stealing shots from better offensive players.

Kill me, but I like with teams like the Mavs to end up with

Deron Williams
Ronnie Brewer
CJ Miles
Andrei Kirilenko
Carlos Boozer

It is small, quick, and Andrei can defend Nowitzki, CJ Miles is quick enough for Howard, and so is Brewer... We know that Kidd gets owned defensively by Deron, and most importantly, Dampier can be a little kid.

But as a generic bench to close games, I like what we have with the starting lineup but Brewer closing the game. It opens the inside to execute with Boozer, and also we 4 legit 3 pt shooters on the game. DID I JUST SAY THAT! KIRILENKO LEGIT... wow, he has come a long way in a very short time.

I think there is too much duplication with CJ and Ronnie. I like Memo to pull Dampier away from the hoop. If Dampier stays on Booz, then Dirk has to watch out for Memo, and that takes him off of the defensive boards (something Dirk doesn't get enough credit for). I think that, for short stretches, you could go with Deron, KK, Ronnie, AK and Booz, but our consistent finishing lineup should be Deron, KK/Ronnie (depending on the defensive situation), AK, Booz, and Memo.

Don't sleep on Memo. He's finally coming out of his funk, and if he starts raining threes and taking slower centers off the dribble, the Jazz will be tough to beat.

Well with Boozer out there, they would probably put Bass out in the game. cause the lineup is too small and with Dampier in the game, you can put a screen on him, and Boozer can get easy layups.

I completely agree with JDub Jazz. AK is so much more talented, versatile and effective on both ends of the court than Harpring, Korver and Okur need to be on the floor for their shooting, and Williams and Boozer obviously should be in. I'm fine with either Brewer or Millsap being in the game in the fourth in the right situation or if they're playing really well, but not Harpring.
