meh... They suck offensively. I think the Jazz can beat them in Boston in the game coming in a couple of weeks.

They suck offensively? They just added someone who was getting 12.8ppg 4.7apg 2.8rpg in 25.7mpg. That's the equivalence of a 19.9ppg 7.3apg 4.3rpg guy in 40mpg, as far efficiency per minute wise. Obviously they can't and wont get 40 minutes from Cassell, but my point is that they just got a big upgrade in adding an efficient veteran to their squad.

Ray Allen was averaging like 26.4 PPG now he averages 18.7

Kevin Garnett was averaging like 22.4 PPG now he averages like 18.5

Paul Pierce was averaging like 25 PPG now he averages 20.5

That is pretty good but... http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinge ... ague%3dnba

You can see there that we average just about 3 more possesions per game, and our offensive efficiency is still 5 points higher. Their defense is much much better, but Deron has proved too much for Rondo to handle. Remember we almost beat the Celtics last year if it weren't for the injury to Andrei Kirilenko and the poor defense in the last 30 seconds by Brewer that allowed a Field goal by Pierce

I think we can take them... with or without aliens.

Please tell me you're not that stupid. The Celtics are evenly distributing the ball and with it comes the dip in personal statistics.

Boston is 9th in offense, and with Cassell's veteran leadership and vision and his own offensive gave, that will improve.

Boston's defense is 2nd best in the league, the Jazz are 16th.

Boston will be a lot harder than you think. Garnett can own us, Ray Allen has proved he can own us, Paul Pierce can own us, and Cassell would be a tougher matchup against Deron than Rondo would.

Ofcourse their numbers are down cause they have distribute amongst themselves. They really don't run the fast break, but it doesn't necessarily mean they are a bad offensive team.

Boston:
9th with 100.31 ppg
4th with .474 FG%

I mean we are obviously a better offensive team, but they are a far better defensive team. In fact they are ranked #1 in defense, while we are no more than an average defensive squad.

I agree that defensively we are sucky to say the least, but even when playing sucky teams, Boston has issues scoring the balls. They do struggle at it. If you notice on your numbers, they are slightly above average on PPG. For some reason, teams like that, or the Pistons don't do well against the Jazz as the Jazz are a genuinely inside-out offensive team. Unlike G-State, Mavs, or remnants of Phoenix.

In summary to not go too offtopic. I don't fear the Celtics any more or less with Cassell on their team. Cassell doesn't usually fare well against Deron anyways.
