Fair is fair, Dirkalicious. But still, in my opinion it doesn't warrant a suspension.

I thought it deserved suspension, but understand that not everyone does. But in light of some of the precedent set this year (the Horford/Ford incident, which also got a game), I think one game was inevitable.

I feel too as a Jazz fan that he doesn't warrant a suspension, I think he didn't do it on purpose, and it is something that went from bad, to worst just in the way that Kirilenko landed.

Why Jazz fans should be the most mad about is that Houston plays Dallas on the next game over at Dallas, that means that Houston can keep making a run, keep their lead on us by two games, and keep their winning streak going.

Man effing Stern and Stu Jackson... couldn't you wait after that game?

In serious time, really sorry for Kirilenko, as usual we will miss him, and sorry for Dirk who I didn't think deserved it. Perhaps a verbal warning but not suspension.

dirk should've been tossed from the game, since he wasn't suspended him for the rockets game. all in all works for me. But I wonder if by what Tmac had to say if it held any ground.

It was just as bad as Horford's foul on Ford, so the suspension was deserved. I'm pretty sure Dirk wasn't trying to hurt AK, but that was a dangerous, out of control foul.

Hmm, this is kinda doubly bad for us considering AK is out for a game (maybe more) and now Dallas has to play Houston without Dirk (a team ahead of us in the standings currently).

I personally didn't think he deserved to be suspended, tough break for us all around.

I say ejection yes, suspension no.

I thought it was a dirty as **** move based on frustration because they were getting blown out of the building at that point. I was disappointed because none of the Jazz players on the court got up in Dirk's face.

I thought Dirk continued to pull down in an aggresive motion even after he lost contact with AK. Showing that he was actively pulling AK to the ground, and not just trying to slow his fall.

I figured he'd get a one day suspension, and I think it was well deserved. You could seriously hurt someone like that. IF AK had done this to Dirk, Dallas fans would be going BONKERS.

I'm surprised at how reasonable Jazz fans are being about it.

If it had been D-Will, this place would be coming off its hinges.

Dirk sucks and he deserves a good long suspension. That foul was flat out dirty and could have even possibly put AK out the rest of the season.

Thats a very astute point. Its funny how that works. Dirk, intentional or not, deserved the suspension.

the intention is big part of this judgement. I hate how people keep trying to diminish it. I don't know why some people hold the primitive belief that now suspending him will payback to what he did to Kirilenko.

Even Pace Mannion, and Thurl agree that it didn't deserve a suspension.

Absolutely deserved a suspension - sure wasn't intended to injure AK but was completely unecessary hard. NBA cracks down on those dangerous plays exactly to avoid the game becoming full of excessive contact outside of the flow of the game. Stupid though that he is suspended against Houston.

I too, didn't think Dirk had malicious intent but it is what it is.

My only bone of contention is that guys like Shaq get hit with similar fouls frequently (Jones did the exact same thing to him in front of Stern yesterday) and since Shaq doesn't weigh like a 12-year-old asian schoolgirl, he has to suck it up.

I agree. It loked like to me that Dirk put some extra power into that pull down, that amount of force was not caused just by Dirk falling. I was hoping that whole game that someone would get Dirk back.

I think it's funny here on the Jazz board there are quite a few people who don't think it deserved a suspension but you go over to the Mav's board and they unanimously agree that it deserved a suspension.

Suspension deserved, even if the ejection would have been a better option.
