I am attending the Utah v. Seattle game on Saturday and I would like some advice on getting autographs and other worthwhile events before and after the game. I think my Supersonics are going to get absolutely crushed by your Jazz and so I am thinking it might be better to try to support my team before they lose big. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am not sure where to go for autographs. You may want to wait outside of the hotel on in the lobby. I am not sure which hotel it is.

Usually it is Grand America, but a few teams choose Hotel Monaco.

I remember seeing Shaq walk through the hotel lobby his rookie year. I couldn't believe how huge he was.

I saw Rodman in the food court eating ice cream and wearing lace gloves in Crossroads mall. That same day, I saw Pippen as well. This was back in there final years.

I also saw the celtics back when Bird and McHale played for them.

Back then it was the Hilton, I am sure it isn't there anymore though.

Dude, great to hear you are coming to the most hostile arena.

Get to the arena about an hour before the game, they have shootaround, and if you show yourself in the arena with sonics stuff, they will probably sign some stuff for ya when they start going to the lockerooms. For sonics, go down, to the left of their bench if you are behind them. For the Jazz is the same deal. Usually players that won't get many minutes will stay extended time on the court shooting.

At the end of the game, look into going down the rows and if you are lucky, someone from your team will come out and sign some souvenirs.

Grand America is the place if you want to find them in a hotel. That is where Kobe and the lakers are right now.

+1 on going to the hotel. My friend saw Kobe and Turiaf in the lobby there last night haha. They have a fantastic restaurant there as well.

But yeah, get to the game around an hour early and they should let you go all the way down. Good luck and have a great time.

Dude, you don't need to go to any Hotels. Go to the game an hour or so early, you can walk right down to the tunnel and all the players will gladly sign your stuff.

The Jazz even have people down there that are set up to help the players so no one goes crazy to tries to attack someone, but they are there to make the process go by smoother.

Most of the Jazz players do it, I am sure the hard luck Sonics would love to see a loyal fan in their corner.

Yeah, Batronuj hit it right on the nose. If you go right down to the tunnel it won't be hard to get a couple autographs, especially if you're rooting for the visiting team. I know of at least a couple players on the Sonics that would do it for sure. I got Kevin Durrants autograph during the Rocky Mountain Revue, and I also got Fransisco Elson's autograph at a regular season game last year.

the doors open at 5:30 and i find that to be the best time to get autographs, then still have plenty of time to check out other things and grab snacks or whatever before the game

i went to the game on saturday an hour early and it was already packed with people waiting for an autograph.When I got there only mansap and korver were still shooting warmups. the usher said to come at least an a hour and a half early to the game to get an auto..but i did get a full size jazz basketball out of it

Hotel is a ton easier then the games.

How did you do at the game though?

It is very tough to get jazz autographs even if you go right when they open the doors

there is simply too many people for them to give out autographs to

the only one we got was Fesenko but that was because he was in a good mood and was willing to get everyone before heading back to the locker room

and only Korver, Fes, Harpring, CJ and Mansap were warming up and like i said we got there an hour and a half early

I would only recommend it to fans of visiting teams if you want an auto

autographs? come on man what are you 12?

...a grown man should never ask for an autograph for himself, if it for your dying sister or your kid...sure, but not for your keep sake.


How awkward is it for a 20 something yr old to sign a piece of paper for middle aged man..

.... take a few photos to prove you saw them up close, but no need to ask for an autograph
