I read some of the crap that was said in the laker vs utah thread, and I cannot believe that Fisher is being considered a hero for playing ball when his daughter is sick. LMAO, give me a break.
The vast majority of fathers have to continue to work when their children have serious medical problems. In fact due to the high cost of medical treatment, most fathers have to get a 2nd job to help pay for the medical treatment. Fisher has the money to afford the treatment, since he is one of the lucky ones, he really should of retired to spend the time with his kids.
We all know about his secret agenda, We often forget the O'Conner had to fly to Golden State to talk him into reporting to Utah. But I for one will not let others hold his daughters illness over my head.
So Fisher if you are reading. BOOOOOO

I do agree he is no hero. I have heard he is one of the nicer guys in the league, I don't doubt that (most NBA players are cocky ass-holes See Kobe Bryant) but that does leave him free from criticism.
Nobody here or anywhere is denying that is daugther was sick, and that she needed attention. Thats fine, no one in Utah complained when he had time off during the playoffs to go be with her. That is all very understandable.
It is the fact however that he didn't want to come here in the first place, he was all to happy to be gone when he left, and he signed with the Lakers before choosing a doctor. Yeah Fish, way to make sure the important stuff was covered first.
I say good riddance to bad rubbish, that guy was holding the Jazz back. And like I said last year, everyone on this board was booing him all season long, I can't imagine other Jazz fans felt much differently.
But like everyone on the Jazz, we cheer them while their here, that's called being a fan of the team. We applaud other players if we find it necessary, see LeBron James and 50 plus getting a standing ovation in Utah.
Otherwise don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I know people have a lot of strong opinions on Fisher. But, we just keep going around in a circle regurgitating the same stuff. And it just gets ugly every time.
That's why I locked the last thread, and that's why I'm locking this one. I've had enough about Fisher. I wish we'd all just MOVE ON. He was never that important to the Jazz, and I think we should all just wish him and his family the best and MOVE ON.
You want to boo him, go ahead, be my guest. Just realize that his leaving Utah actually helped us, it let us give Brewer the time he deserves, it probably opened up the opportunity to add Korver. It may have helped us re-sign Millsap.
So, boo him if you wish, but, I think you should be cheering him, addition by subtraction in my book.
