Under the current records Jazz have a tough road to championship:
Round 1: Spurs with Spurs having home court
Round 2: Hornets
Round 3: Lakers
If Spurs (tied with Houston) passes Rockets much better scenario...Jazz need to lose to Spurs when they play them twice in next couple weeks.

We don't need to lose to the Spurs twice, we need to beat them twice and then we'll have the home court. If we go 8-2, which is realistic, I think we get the #4 seed with home court. Anything less than that and we don't have home court. Tiebreakers will be huge this year so we need all of them which is still possible against everyone except L.A. No more talk of losing please.

... are you out of your fuggin mind?

we need to win every game we play from here on out, probably wont happen but 8-2 or 7-3 is definitely realistic and COULD give us home court... which is crucial for our post season success.
Bye Bye Sloan, Good Riddance Deron. Hello new Era in Jazz Basketball.

I lovez HolyToledo.
You should post more often, my abs enjoy the workout from laughing so hard.
But seriously, we need to go at least 8-2 these final 10 games. The only thing that should be on mind of the Jazz is finishing strong enough to get homecourt.... matchups aren't going to matter much if we don't get it.
Oh... and what makes you so certain the Lakers go all the way to the 3rd round at least? I am really crossing my fingers that Golden State stays at 8... I can see them giving the Lakers trouble or at least wearing them out in that first round.

As nice as the road to the WCF is with Houston, New Orleans, and LA, I think it would stop with LA. As much as I don't want to face SA in the first round, we might be better off especially with home court, to try and take them out early, and possible avoid the Lakers for two rounds, which also gives them two rounds to lose a series. I would assume they face GS then Phoenix, and both teams have a shot to beat them. I'd rather face the Spurs then the Lakers, and as much as this increases our chances of losing in the first round, it could make the WCF a lot fairer if we beat them in the first round and LA gets eliminated by another team before the WCF.

I think that a LOT of people on here really underestimate San Antonio. They do this every f'kn year. I swear, it seems like they can win at will whenever they want. They come out in the regular season and stay quite not dominating or anything, and then come playoffs time and the league sings Spurs. They have got to be one of the greatest teams that this league has ever seen.

Oddly, I agree with Toledo. The spurs own us so badly, a meeting with the spurs=early exit for the Jazz. I don't care if we have home court, tim duncan is hurt and the spurs give us a 2-0 lead, we would still lose the series. Williams played OUT OF HIS MIND last year in the playoffs against them and we still only won ONE TIME. So if the last game of the season against the spurs determines whether or not we play them in the first round, I say tank it. I guarantee you the one team the spurs would kill to see in the playoffs are the Jazz.
