Playoffs are not guaranteed

Post#1 » by de2nd » Sun Mar 30, 2008 9:52 pm

Just letting those of you know who are already contemplating first round matchups and expecting us to be in the playoffs, you need to look at the Denver Nuggets who are on a roll and are nipping at our heels. You also need to look at the ridiculous hard stretch of games we have to close out the season with.

Chances are we win the division, but the possibility IS there of Denver catching us. Games like today prove it.

The Jazz are the only team in the league that can let McCants look like Kobe.

The Jazz are gonna lose the first round due to losing home court advantage because of losing to bad teams on the road.

What the hell are the Wolves playing for except their jobs?

So did Fisher, but we were a much better road team last year. What happens on the road is a team effort. Granted we were without Memo and AK today, but no excuses. We should have won and we should have spanked them.

We very well could be fighting for the 8 spot on the final day.

Youre preaching to the choir here man. Though I think Denver doesnt have the mental toughness either to stay in any kind of playoff race.

Don't underestimate the joy that teams get from playing the spoiler. It has always been a big part of sports. The T'Wolves are professionals, and even though their record sucks they still want to win and I'm sure they get up for a good team like Utah coming into their gym.

As for the division race, it's over. Up 3 games with 7 to go including Denver having to come to Salt Lake. I don't see them topping us by 3 games, they have a tough schedule too.
