Which player are you more glad that he is no longer on the Jazz?

Sorry man... But who in the world cares, we are better than we were last year.

Giricek, I guess. No matter who one thinks started it, the Sloan/Giri matter was causing worse problems for us than Fisher's inconsistent play did last year. Giri needed to go, for everybody's sake.

Giricek. At least Fisher was a proven playoff performer

I can't even explain how happy I was to see that Giri's sorry ass was out of Utah.

Gira led the entire league in 3-point shooting in the playoffs, Fisher sucked.

Gira. He was taking up a spot that was being rendered useless by his inability to fit in, and Jerry's inability to accept his abilities as a player.
Fisher (
http://youtube.com/watch?v=85cZB9O_LkE&feature=related) shot way too much, and was horrible finishing at the rim, but was clutch and provided a level of stability when Deron wasnt on the floor that we miss this year.
Take that.

Fisher took Ronnie Brewer's place in the starting line up. Giricek took Fishers place on the end of the bench.
It's a win win I think.

I think the players miss Fisher.
Giri looks much happier now, I almost didn't recognize him when I've watched the Suns play.

Of course Giri is happy now. He is getting paid twice (his original contract and his minimum contract with the Suns) and now running with the Phoenix Chuckers. What more could he ask for?

Fisher was a non-factor, as our record this year demonstrates perfectly.......
Giri, used properly, could certainly help the team, as the playoff-run showed.

Is Giri being used properly right now in Phoenix? All he's being asked to do it take open jumpers when he has them. Just like he was here. Just like Korver is here.

Alternately, you could say that pre- and post-Fisher were similar record-wise...while this year, the Jazz were 16-15 with Giricek and 33-11 afterwards
I guess I just think that Fisher's inconsistency didn't hurt us nearly as much last year as Giricek did this year with poor play and the whole Sloan imbroglio (again, regardless of who started it). Giricek HAD to go when all was said and done. I understand and respect your opinion, though.

.
Or maybe that Brewer and Fisher had very similar overall impacts........

No, Fisher sucked...Brewer does not.

Giri played limited minutes, and Fish started at the 2 and played backup PG.
It's like comparing spam to a ribeye and asking which one tastes better.

Yes, he's being used perfectly in Phoenix, take a look at his shooting percentages over there, 49% from the filed, over 90% from the free throw line, and over 37% from three. He's being allowed to play to his strengths and he's rewarding the team with very solid play....... The question is, why wasn't he allowed to do the same thing in Utah?
Alternately, you could say that pre- and post-Fisher were similar record-wise...while this year, the Jazz were 16-15 with Giricek and 33-11 afterwards
And, the Suns are 10 and 5 since adding Giricek, what's your point? Giricek played just barely over 10 minutes a game for us, he was not a factor one way or another....... I think had he played more, over Hart for exmple, our record would have been better, since he can actually make a jumpshot.......
I guess I just think that Fisher's inconsistency didn't hurt us nearly as much last year as Giricek did this year with poor play and the whole Sloan imbroglio (again, regardless of who started it).
Again, how does a player who gets barely over 10 minutes a game in 22 games out of 31 as you so correctly pointed out), most of it in garbage time, hurt a team? Seriously?
Or maybe that Brewer and Fisher had very similar overall impacts........
So, a second year player has as much, if not more, positive impact on the team than a much more heralded "veteran" with playoff "experience"? I think that supports my argument about Fisher's worthlesness that much more....... Thank you LJ......
I just think what we might have accomplished last year had we played an actual SG at the SG position instead of an undersized, slow-footed PG, who can't shoot over 40% from the field to save his life........
