Lol, good old Rockets fans.
I would love to see them in the first round. Apparently they feel the same way.

HAHAHAHA!!!!!!
ROMFL at the dude saying that motivated T-Mac=a first round win. The Rockets are a good team and all, but if the Rockets are playin the Jazz in the first round, T-Mac still ain't seeing the second round.

Lets have a little chat with Mr. Stern and see if we can get this thing to happen, allright?

I dunno, I'm reading the thread, and most of them DON'T want to face the Jazz. Even most of the ones who think the Rockets would give us a tough series think they'll lose. I really don't blame other teams for preferring to face us over the Spurs and Lakers, quite frankly, I would too at this point.
The bit about a motivated McGrady carrying them through to the second round is pretty funny, though. I guess he hasn't been motivated all these other times?

I personally DONT want to see the Rockets. Not because we couldnt kick their ass again, but because they bore me to death. Seriously.

Yeah, but would you rather play a GOOD team in the first round and be bored all the way through the playoffs or just be bored through the first round while we're dominating?

I think we can beat anybody, if we play the way we ar eplaying now. This is reminiscent of the playoff run last year(which makes me wonder where this effort has been), except we are playing a notch better defensively, possibly because we are not playing an unathletic midget at the 2. I want this team to be a championship team, you dont get to that point by trying to avoid good teams.

the only team that has a right to WANT the Jazz in the playoffs is LA, as much as I hate to say it.
I was on the Dallas board on ESPN; all the Dallas fans over there are beating their chests and laughing at the Jazz, they all seem to feel the Jazz will get "handled" by Houston as well.
lol, i think things are looking pretty darn good for us:
1st round: Houston
2nd round: New Orleans
WCF: San Antonio, hopefully (i think we can take them this year)
Finals: Boston or Detroit.
The Jazz lost tonight, but they are playing great basketball overall and Dwill is going to be DISGUSTING in the playoffs, he is such a competitor!
The media and most NBA fans will continue to overlook the Jazz, but you know their teams won't do the same (unfortunately).

More evidence:
A Poll from clutchfans.net(rockets fan site):
If you had to pick a first round playoff opponent out of the other top 6 West teams, who would you like to see the Rockets face?
42.3% Utah Jazz
35.4% New Orleans Hornets
15.7% L.A. Lakers
3.3% San Antonio Spurs
3.2% Phoenix Suns
TOTAL: 2012 VOTES

I guess I don't see what the big deal is. Out of the top 5 teams in the west, Rockets fans want to play the one who's in 5th. All other things being equal, wouldn't you?
We're also the team they took to 7 games in last year's playoffs...maybe they think they can make it tough on us again, or maybe they just want to meet us as revenge. I don't look on it as any huge slight, any more than most of us were slighting other teams in our own "who do you want to face" poll.

Yeh the jazz are the only of those teams they could get homecourt against so it does make sense of them to vote that way. But I don't think they have much confidence to beat us,they just want homecourt in the 1st

Rockets fans are the best.
And yes, as strange as it may sound, I think we will see Deron take his game to an even higher level this postseason. It will be disgusting.

I don't care who we face in the first round, I think we can beat any of the lower teams with ease, the 2nd round is where the true test will come.

As the four seed we would play the Hornets in the second round!I think if we have to play the Suns, then are bigger test will be in the first round.I would love to play the Rockets again! No Yao= no second round for T-Smac!

If I were a Rockets fan, I'd be wanting to face the Jazz for three reasons. First, the Rockets most likely will have homecourt advantage. Second, after being eliminated by the Jazz last year, I'd be thirsty for revenge.
Third, only four teams beat the Jazz this year at the ESA. Rockets were one of them.
