Jazz are in a great spot!

Post#1 » by HammerDunk » Mon Apr 14, 2008 4:19 am

IF they can win the last 2 games, they will get home court advantage for the first round at least! If the hornets lose their last 2, the Jazz get the 2nd seed (I think LOL). This is a GREAT opportunity for the Jazz. They control their own destiny. With 2 wins, this team will at LEAST get the 3rd seed. That is awesome!

GO JAZZ!!!

I didn't realize that if the Jazz win the next two games they will have the tiebreaker over Houston and San Antonio. Pretty awesome. It would be nice if the Hornets also lost the last 2 games, but very unlikely. Dallas may beat them, but it is very unlikely they will lose to the Clips.
The playoffs basically start tomorrow for us! What an amazing season so far.

Tiebreaker with the Suns, Houston, Denver, Golden State, San Antonio, and the Hornets.

A great position to be in.

If the Jazz win their last two games they will end up in the 3 seed I believe actually, and will most likely face the Suns in the first round with Home Court Advantage.

Now if the Hornets beat both the Clippers and the Mavericks this week, then they will end up with the 2 spot in the West, and if the Nuggets beat the Grizzlies on Wednesday they would end up with the 7 seed.

Meaning the Jazz playoff outlook would most likely be a first round match up with Phoenix, then a second round match up with either the Nuggets or the Hornets who ever wins that match up.

Then the Spurs, the Mavs, the Lakers and the Rockets would be on the opposite side of the west then the Jazz.

The Jazz need to win their next two games, and the Spurs need to win tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!

I would prefer to go around San Anton(even though they are sucking) and Lakers.

I think it would be brilliant to see the Jazz on the third spot. Hornets, Suns, Mavs should be quite a bunch to play.

If they lose tomorrow, and we beat them, potentially the Spurs can end up 6th, and would end up matching with us first round anyways. If not, they get deadlocked with 2nd round virgin.

I would love to only have to face 1 of the Spurs, Mavs, and Lakers in the playoffs.

The Suns would be tough enough, but at least we would have HCA which is a huge advantage for us.

This is their chance to prove to themselves and the rest of the NBA that they can win two games they need to win. If they can win these next two games, that would be huge. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Jazz, win these two games.

I'm confident that the Jazz will win their final 2 games and end up as the 3 seed. I'll be at the game vs. Houston tonight, should be fun. They are playing in a back to back and pretty much don't have a chance in ESA.

The game Wednesday in SA should be interesting. I would be shocked if Gionobli plays in that game, he is resting a sore groin. That's not something you rush back from.

I'm trying to not even think about who the first round match up will be, there are still so many possibilities. My first choice would be Houston.

I could see us beating the crap out of the rockets tonight just on pure emotion! The Spurs game,if they play without Meno,I think we can beat them with are bench and sneak out with our first victory there since 1999!

If Jazz stay at the 4 seed, aren't we more or less guaranteed to see lakers in the 2nd round?

If SA wins tonight and Phoenix loses, and Houston wins on Wednesday, and we win out, then we would play Phoenix in the first round with HCA. Playing Houston with HCA is unlikely, and it would be a 4/5 matchup which we do NOT want because it probably means LA in round 2. So, I'll take a harder round 1 for an easier round 2.

I have no problem facing teams like Hornets, Rockets and Nuggets in the first round but asking to play teams like the Suns, Spurs, Lakers, and Mavericks is really a big no-no and it'll be an early exit for us.

I hope we stay at the 4th spot and play the Rockets and in the second round, the Hornets would be nice but it's most likely is the Lakers. Well, better than playing them in the first round. :wizard:

lol... We can beat the Suns and Mavericks easily, and the Spurs sans full powered Ginobli won't be able to keep up with us. Lakers's offense is way powerful and Boozer is way too weak defensively, and that is my only problem.
