Ronnie Brewer

I'm a Raps fan, but I absolutely love this kid. He's exactly what the Raps need on the wings - a slasher who can play defense. I know he's a key part of your team, but the Jazz are pretty loaded on the wings with Kirilenko, Miles and Korver. Is there anyone on the Raps (including our 08 1st) who the Jazz would want in exchange for Ronnie?

I'd might be willing to take Bosh, but I'd have to think about it.
Ronnie fits what we do here so well, that i'd have a hard time passing him on to Toronto, because I'm not sure if they could/would give us anything back that would actually make us better.

Of course the Jazz would move him for some of your better players. But he fits in well with the system here, his athleticism is a real strong part of the Jazz's offense.

He's certainly not untouchable. Not sure what we'd want from Toronto though.
How 'bout a 3 way deal. We'll send you Brewer, Seattle will send us Collison, and you send Seattle your 1st and some filler salary that they like.
(I'm a big Collison fan, I doubt most Jazz fans would agree to this deal, but, I think he'd be a terrific guy off the bench behind Okur)

I'm a big Collison fan, but I'm a bigger Brewer fan. I'd love to have Collison on the Jazz, but not at the price of Brewer. Can't think of anything right now I would want in a trade involving Brewer, but I agree he'd be a great fit in Toronto.

Lets see a slasher who plays D and can play above the rim and is our starting guard for a Backup PF when we allready have Millsap. The Jazz rotation is fine with the exception of maybe harp and Bonafide shot block.

I like the idea of a 3-way deal. The Raps main trade assets are, in my opinion, one of our PGs, our pick, our expirings, and Bargnani, but Utah doesn't really need any of these.
For a straight-up deal, I was thinking something along the lines of Parker + Thabeet (probably available at the Raps pick, but probably not at Utah's) for Brewer + filler. Parker gives you another 3-point shooter, and Thabeet gives you a shot blocking C who can be developed slowly behind your 3 good bigs (Okur, Boozer and Millsap), but I'm not sure if this really works for the Jazz.

I like Jazzfan1971's Nick Collison idea IF we can re-sign CJ Miles. Otherwise I'd say no.

The Jazz would have to get a better defender back and neither Toronto nor Seattle has one at the SG spot. Maybe if we could get something with Jamario Moon going, then we could move AK a little more easily knowing we have another dynamic athlete at the SF position to fill in.
But yeah, I am looking for a Battier type player, someone with some size who can guard multiple positions. Otherwise Brewer is a terrific young player, still having plenty of upside, a good attitude and the willingness to work at his game.

I think yall are absolutely out of your bloody mind to think of trading Brewer for Nick. We have Memo, Paul, and Boozer, to play the 4/5. We don't have enough minutes for Paul let alone time for both nick AND paul. Stupid stupid idea, sorry but it is.

I don't think it's that stupid. We have a ton of depth at the 2/3. We could start any of Korver, CJ, or Almond. Heck, we'd still be 3 deep there.
Collison would give us a very good rebounder and smart player coming off the bench behind Memo. PLUS he'd be terrific injury insurance in case one of our bigs got injured. Always a concern.
Boozer would get a few less minutes, not a big deal with how foul prone he is. Okur and Millsap might drop a couple minutes a night as well. No big deal.

No way, Brewer needs to stay for sure. You want AK?

Ok... this is just a bad night for the Jazz team... and for the Jazz fans too it seems!!! There's no way in hell Utah trade Ronnie Brewer; thath's just a fact!!
Trade Kirilenko (please?...), trade Millsap, get rid of Collins and Hart, trade Price.... trade even lazy Boozer (I might be crazy but there are players that would do his job even better than him in Utah's basketball)... but please.... don't even think on trade Brewer.
Are you people out of your minds today?

You're kidding right? We go from having an above average sg rotation to have the WORST in the entire league. Korver and CJ are both not starting caliber sg's.

^Exactly.
We've had worse and they've tried since 98 to get something thats decent, and we finally got it and you want to break it up? Ridiculous.

Ronnie Brewer is the X best SG in the league do you think?

Ronnie fits our offense so well. He isn't selfish, he works hard, is always moving to get open layups, and his shot is starting to drop a lot. I think this kid is perfect for our team. It would be very ill advised to get rid of him. I would rather see Boozer leave before Brewer.

His defense is on the up and up too.
