Jazz vs Rockets, Game 5, Tue, Apr 29, 7:30 p.m. MST, TBA

Post#1 » by Duiz » Sun Apr 27, 2008 9:34 am

Last year, I made the game thread last year for Game 7, and we won miracously on the road against the poised Houston team. So, since I am leaving to Europe, this should be my very last game thread of the year. I have the hot hand for closeout games in the playoffs so here we go!

Series:

What I wouldn't give to have a 30-something Jeff Hornacek on this team again...

And it's funny thinking how Boozer looks like a solid guy and everyone's always talking about how built he is. But Malone is so jacked in that picture that he makes Boozer look like John Crotty.

Random memory...

I was reading some Q & A with Karl Malone on NBA.com back in 2000:

Q: Karl, how much do you bench?
A: You know, I don't keep track. I don't look at the number. I put the weights on and I just lift. I don't know.

For some reason, as soon as I saw that picture with Malone and Olajuwon in it, I looked at the old lady with the dark hair right above Malone's head and said to myself, "Wow, she must be dead by now."

What a terrible, terrible human I am.

On that note however lets murder the Rockets.

What about the guy above Olajuwon? I didn't know that fundamentalists went to Jazz games. I guess no matter what God you pray to we have it covered.

I'm internally conflicted over Game Five. I want to see us close this out as soon as possible, but a Game Six will likely be broadcast over here this weekend. That could be my last (free and easy, at least) viewing of the Jazz if they don't make the championship series. I'm selfish that way.

You're right - I can't be serious. Let's get it done and get in to 'Shock LA' preparation mode!

God I hate McGrady. He is the biggest duechbag in the world with his pre/post game quotes in the past two post seasons, especially this year.

What an arrogant POS. This MF deserves all the bad rep he's been getting.

I'd rather deal with Kobe at this point.

Haha I think were gonna get bummed off national tv.

Jazz have not had a good offensive game yet in this entire series and when that happens we will have our first blowout of the series.

Agreed, while Houston has been very solid on the defensive end, some shots the Jazz are missing are simply inexcusable.

Boozer can't find the rim on his jumper which is usually money, and don't get me started on 0-14 from 3 the other night.

As soon as the Jazz find their streak like they did at the end of the season they will make quick work of the Rockets.

Look for this one to be a FT shooting exhibition for the Rockets. Adelman's whining is a manipulative move. He should be ashamed. Maybe we should send a tape to the league of Aaron Brooks vicious shoulder into Deron Williams as he runs out to contest a shot.

That sounds painful.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Aren't you all dead already? You're all Mormons, aren't you?
BTW... not that it matters... but... Hakeem and Karl are the only afro-american people in that picture!

Okur has been dropping dimes.

So since this stupid game is on NBATV I have to hope a bar around me will be showing it. (unlikely)

Looks like it's back to the old days of yahoo boxscores and realgm tonight.

I fully expect the Jazz to win this game tonight on the road.
