Rick Adelman making excuses

Post#1 » by The Sheik » Mon Apr 28, 2008 7:12 pm

Honestly Im losing respect for Houston more and more everyday

"You have to look at the tape and send it in to the league," Adelman said. "Hopefully, they look at it and say this isn't right. But for the most part, that's asking someone else to do what you have to do. You have to respond."

"Harder cuts and moving more make it more apparent to the officials." Adelman said. "They were laying on Tracy. They were doing more things to him out on the floor than they do out on the post. That is something that has to be addressed by our league. It's gotten worse and worse.

Adelman is a bone head. I respected him before this series, but when you start making excuses like this it gets pathetic really quick.

That is one thing I absolutely love about the Jazz, no excuses, injuries or bad calls, you don't hear a peep. That's professionalism, the Jazz could complain as much as anyone, but they play their game and if something doesn't work out they eat it and go on playing.

No wonder so many Rockets fans feel the same way, they get it from the coach. Don't get me started on McGradys whining either.

I dont even care about that, how bout the way he throws everyone under the bus? He has thrown Adelman under the bus like 2-3 times this series.

Yeah, he's a terrible leader.

Last year it was on him to win the playoffs, and then at the end of the series he's all "I'm only one man" blah blah blah.

Then they are down 2-0 and he sarcasitcally says "it's all my fault." Then he goes on to say nobody else could handle the blame he gets.

Man, grow a pair, everyone gets ripped in the NBA, it comes with the huge salary.

And I hate everyone saying he's never been favored to win a playoff series. Last year he was, this year his team had HCA and the best team in the second half of the season, he was up 3-1 against Detroit and lost.

If you're the highest payed player on the team, you get the blaim, it's how the world works.

Life isn't all vanity just because you make ridiculous amounts of money, if it's your job to perform, and in this case to win, you're supposed to do it. He doesn't do it, and blaims others for it.

Lots of other players have been in his position, nobody reacts like he does.

Just very very sad. It might be a morale booster that we didn't knew about for the team. Again, their chances of winning are so bleak now, that why even care when you are so heavily underdogged. He might just want to send a message, "Since the league isn't doing anything about it, man up guys and let's show them what we got" type of thing.

We'll be done with these worthless clowns soon. I don't have a single strand of respect for Adelman and especially McGrady. The rest of Houston's team is full of good hard working players like Landry and Scola and it's too bad they get shot down and get a bad image because of Adelman and McGrady.

I love Landry's game. He is a great second round pick up.

Honestly the Rockets should try to move McGrady for a stud PG and a solid Forward.

This is just a really cheap buschleague way of buying calls in the next game.

This is so sad I want to puke.

All I know is that, aside from any game involving Kobe, I have never seen a team get as many calls for simple bodying-up on the perimeter as the Rockets have gotten both this year and last.

I mean, hand checking is outlawed, and thats fine, but you have to let guys do something to disrupt the offensive guy, or it will just be a cake walk to the basket every time down. Its pathetic.

that's exactly what I've thought for a long time. People value McGrady's skill set so much that Houston could effectively make their team alot more solid with a trade. Fact of the matter is, that due to his attitude about the game, McGrady's talent goes to waste on and off the court.

He's talented, bu he's no superstar. If Kobe and Lebron are Coca-Cola, Tsmac is cheap supermarket soda.

Honestly, if they had like Calderon and Josh Howard they would be twice the team they are with McGrady. T-Mac sucks.

Smart move by Adelman. This will make the officials look even more closely to the Jazz to see if he is right. We all know that he isn't but this will definitely get the Rockets to the line more.

I still think that he is an ass and just making excuses though.

Truly pathetic. Houston is full of hard-workers, who come to do the job, but Adelman is pathetic and always has been. This is the same kind of whining he did in Sacramento. Man the **** up, man. Didn't you learn anything playing with Sloan in Chicago?

This is seriously the reason even the anti-Sloanies have to love about Jerry. You get no bull to the media. The guy is a man's man and he plays the game the right way.

Adelman is a sissy tried and true, and when the Rockets season is over he'll still be whining. We got it Adelman, you don't think your team ever gets a fair shot, enough already.

Who would want TMac on their team? I would be super pissed if the Jazz picked him up EVER, even for cheap.

I'm really not surprised. TMacs whining has spread to the "brains" of the operation in Houston. It's bitchism at it's best, or I should say worst. What a joke that the coach is whining, this is exactly why I dislike the Rox so much. Things are messed up down there... Isn't whining what the fans are for anyway?

I hope McGrady's FT shooting is off tonight, cause he'll be going to the line a lot. I really don't understand why the Rockets are coming up with all these excuses. Both games in SLC were really close and so were the games in Houston. They still have a chance of winning the series, but instead they prefer to complain about the refs and the injuries. I hope we kill them tonight, but it will be tough. I smell major homecooking.

This is a desparate coach doing whatever he can to try and buy some calls for game 5. I don't expect the Jazz to get the benefit of any calls tonight, but who gives a **** the Jazz need to play their game and not worry about the refs.

That's the difference between Utah and Houston.

Tru dat.

You dont hear a peep about the horrid officiating from anyone from the Utah Jazz, but yet all we hear in post game interview from the Rockets is excuse after excuse. Whether it's TMac placing the blame on him self or Aldelman blaming the refs.

Go out, play your ass off and get some rest for LA.

...Excuses are like arse holes, everyones got 'em and they all STINK!!

This is ridiclous, they called quite a few PICKY fouls on AK guarding McGrady, the man couldn't brush his jersey during some possessions. They weren't treating him like he was iverson but there was still some protection. Plus, players like Scola and Battier are just as physical as some Jazz players, but who's complaining over here? it's part of the game.

Of course over on the rockets board Adelman's comments are considered nothing less than the words of a prophet, while Deron's and Brewer's comments about trying to slow down McGrady are being taken way out of context.

I can't wait to finish these jokes off.
