Who should we move at the end of the season?

The one that gets payed the most and provides the least.

The guy that's shooting 41.5% from field and 21.4% for 3 shooting this playoffs

how about the one who clearly does not want to be here, but won't flat out admit to still wanting out because he knows it will hurt his trade value.

Unless Boozer comes out and gets 40 sometime this series we need to get his ass out of Utah.

Boozer has been terrible, the Jazz need to find something to fix it, otherwise he needs to go.

Can't afford to have all that money being wasted if Boozer isn't producing in the playoffs.

He was crappy against the Spurs last year too.

Dump Ak he does not want to be here. Maybe even Boozer while his trade value is high.

I voted for Boozer. Trade him for a good 5 shift Okur to the 4 on D, 3 on O & AK 4 on O, 3 on D & we would be solid, particularly come playoff time.

After watching tonight's game, it is Boozer. He is terrible in pressure situations.

If AK wants out I'd try to get something good for him....that is only logical. If you could get something GREAT for Boozer it would be a no-brainer. But chances are you aren't going to get something better than Boozer so we probably need to keep him. He's really sucking in the playoffs though

AND

10.thinks he's playing well anyway.


this guy somehow has escaped criticism for a very long time. his defense has always been questionable, and he's been bad far longer than since the beginning of the playoffs.

Put it this way...

I don't think they can move Andrei. KO'C would have done it by now if it either made basketball sense or if GMs weren't scared enough by his contract to prohibit him returning full value. Plus, he thrived in a prominent role and almost carried the club to the playoffs in 2004, and largely conveyed his nation a Eurobasket last summer on his own. He can make threes as a PF, and is the only really good defender we have apart from Deron.

You can't move Memo. A 6'11" deep threat that rebounds like a fool and plays solid post defense, all at a modest price, is a commodity too rare to let go. It'd be nice if he could block some shots, but what are ya gonna do? Defending closer to the hoop might allow Andrei to clean up the weakside a bit more than he has as a wingman the past few seasons. Besides, it's not like the other bloke's a defensive asset.

I mean this bloke: Carlos Boozer. He has plenty of positives such as his rebounding and touch in close, and his (recently declined) mid-range game. But Paul Millsap, while not the scorer, can adequately replace the lost rebounding, and AK can hit the glass to some degree.

So, of the three proposed, Boozer is the Jazz's most common asset. The others are unique.

In the perfect world I imagine, the Jazz would trade Boozer (and throw in Harpring) for a sweet-shooting, scoring wingman with competent defensive ability. Exactly who that could be? I have no idea. But the Jazz would be left with:

Williams, new wingman/Brewer, Kirilenko, Okur

Price, Miles, Korver, Millsap, Collins

Almond, Fesenko...

...

... Hart


I could be optimistic with that roster.

makes dallas too good of a team to even think about that trade.

Can't believe all you guys bailing on Booz already. He wants to be here, he's got a great relationship with our franchise player, his contract is reasonable considering his inflated offensive numbers. Sure his defense is suspect, but it's all about effort, there have been times when he has shown the ability to stay in front of his man when he wants to. sure he's never going to be Karl Malone on the defensive end, but he's got what every team covets, and inside post presence to go along with a solid mid range jumper.


... guys you need to understand that he is just slumping, dont be a short term memory fan. Boozer carried this team all last season, now it's time for someone else to step up and pick up his slack. He'll snap out of this funk, maybe all the rest he got yesterday will help out come friday

He SAYS from time to time he watns to stay in Utah.
His contract is NOT reasonable considering how many points he gives up with his nonexistent defense and turnovers.
When's the last time you saw some effort from Booze?

If he needs someone else to step up and pick up his slack, maybe he should give up some of his monumental salary to that stepper-upper...

I think Andrei will be moved, but I think Boozer should be moved.

Boozer is clearly bothered by taller/longer guys guarding him. With SAS, LAL, NO, POR and HOU, thats going to be a consistent problem in the playoffs for years to come. If we could move Memo back to PF, where he really thrives, then we can get a legit 7 footer at the pivot, all of a sudden the Jazz have a distinct size advantage with a 6'11" PF and a 7' C.

Boozer is an amazing offensive talent (playoffs notwithstanding), but his defensive effort and mental lapses basically negate many of the positives his offense brings. His trade value is probably as high as its evr going to be, so this offseason is the time to move him.

As far as Andrei goes, I think the Jazz move him, but only if the deal makes sense. Its not going to be a firesale, certainly.

Move Boozer, start Sap, run the P&R through Okur maybe, get him more paint scoring focused, have Deron and AK shoot 3s and post up too. Have Brewer keep running around, making layups and spotting up for J's. Let Okur shoot the OCCASIONAL 3, but mostly have him play low. I think he has the potential to be a GREAT post up player. He has some quick moves. There is a lot of potential without Boozer in the lineup because Sap has the hustle and passion that I with Booz had. And if he had a starting spot, he would have the time to improve his game to where it needs to be.
