Keys to winning Game 5

Post#1 » by ChargerMan » Mon May 12, 2008 8:57 pm

-Get the pick and roll game going early with Boozer and Williams, when Boozer gets involved early he stays involved.

-The game is in LA so no nicky-nacky fouls for Boozer, AK, or Brewer, they usually get hit with fouls early so we gotta limit that.

-Stay home on defense. We all saw in overtime that when Bryant can't facilitate his teammates he will get greedy and start to become a volume shooter, we want Bryant to become a volume shooter again.

- Turnovers, it seems as if the Jazz have a quarter every game where they can't handle the ball for ****, get that out of your system cus this game is must win fellas.

I think we were fortunate in games 3 and 4 that Fisher got in foul trouble. Deron seems to struggle against Fish.

I think we need to go after Fisher early and hopefully he'll pick up a couple of quick fouls again because Farmar is Deron's bitch.

I'd also like to see us play off Odom and not let him drive past us every time. Make him become a jump shooter because he (and every other player in the league) can score on Boozer at will.

I also think the way the refs are calling the gameis important. If they allow the players to be physical I like our chances. If not, expect to see another huge advantage in free throws for the Lakers.

I think AK should be put on Ddom, he's alot quicker and can stay in front of him, and Odom doesn't seem to want to post alot in this series so that helps. That would force either Boozer or Okur to step out on Radmon or Walton...

Guess the refs in game 2 missed that memo....

As long as we can limit the fouling, I think we have a good chance. Keep the shot differential to 10 or less

Kinda agree. Jazz should try to make Kobe beat them by himself. He played 47 minutes on a bad back. He probably will get better, but I don't believe he'll be 100% on game 5. Try taking the other players off the game and make Kobe shoot and work a ton. Have Brewer, AK and Harp taking turns guarding him. He probably will go for 30 or 40+, but I believe in the end, the pain and fatigue will catch up to him.

Attacking Fisher and involving Boozer early sound like good ideas too.

If Kobe is anywhere near as slow as he was in game 4, AK can stop him.

Pray that Kobe's still hurt, cuz if he's healthy he's gonna rip you guys a new a-hole for stealing the last game.

Series is over in 6, Lakers just need to get back to basics
