Look at strange picknroll setting in the end of the 4th Q in Game 4.

Image
Williams and Boozer run picknroll on right side while Korver, Kirilenko and Okur stand on left side. Odom is prepared to play help defense. Korver and Kirilenko set kind of screen for Okur which maybe take their defenders attention off help defense on picknroll, for a while

Image
Picknrollers get inside and face help defense. Williams needs to kick the ball out to perimeter but he is forced to soft lob pass cause there is little spreading between Korver and Okur so Vujacic can take care for both of them for a while and it allows Bryant rotate back.
All those possessions had breakdowns and the Jazz escaped with lucky moves: Williams saving Okur's continuation pass on halfcourt line, then converting fallaway jumper over Gasol, and Williams passing out while falling down to Boozer who was fouled.

Image
Next time the Jazz should avoid crazy moments down the stretch and spread the defense in typical way (1, 2, 3 spots). Otherwise it can cost an advance to next round cause upcoming games will be very close and decided on last possesions probably.

I had assumed this was meant to overload one spot of the floor, then have everybody spread out quickly when the defense collapses on Williams. He's good enough to take almost anyone 1-on-1 in the lane, so it forces help, and I think the goal would be luring 2-3 help defenders instead of just one since they're all so close together as it is

I had assumed it the same way. However the right synchronisation of picknroll and weakside pick is almost impossible. The spreading comes too late so strongside guys cannot hit outside shooters. It's useless in my opinion.

If the Jazz position Okur in spot 1, Kirilenko in spot 2 and Korver in spot 3 then they would get no-rush wide open shot somewhere.

We are still spreading the floor well it's just Booz is not doing anything in the paint for us!We need to hit some threes before they really float out there and open up the middle.the big game we got out of Booz was because Korver and Memo were both bangin threes!
