Round II Game V: UTA @ LAL (famous musicians edition)

Post#1 » by Neon Black » Wed May 14, 2008 11:26 pm

I know everyone is waiting for bat or utj to make the thread, but i'm really feeling it tonight. so:

YOUR UTAH JAZZ ARE:

Deron Williams: Iron Maiden
Image

Despite a lack of media attention and mainstream support, Iron Maiden have made a name for themselves on pure attitude and unprecendented success, rocking hard every night.

Ronnie Brewer: Radiohead
Image

Fresh and Original, Radiohead manages to do their own thing whilst others around them are mediocre.

Andrei Kirilenko: Lindsay Lohan
Image

Clearly anorexic and subject to the occasional emotional breakdown, Lindsay could still probably kick your ass when provoked.

Carlos Boozer: Metallica
Image

Usually known for being talented and relentless, lately they've pretty much just sucked.

Memo "my nizzle" Okur: Snoop Dogg
Image

He may not speak english or seem all the way there, but at least he keeps things interesting.

VS. THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS:

Derek Fisher: The (one hit) Wonders
Image

Nice dudes with colorful personalities, but this group of musicians was not known for sticking to something for an extended amount of time. (ha j/k fish...maybe)

Kobe Bryant: Michael Jackson
Image

Flashy, talented and succesful...with an audacity for inciting general malice and bitterness on his behalf.

Vladimir Radmanovic: The Unicorns
Image

Who?

Lamar Odom: Tesla
Image

They can rock when they need to, but just aren't your "center stage" type of band. They're place will forever be opening up for a bigger act.

Pau Gasol: The Used
Image

Pretty much had success handed to them on a silver platter.

time to rock the lakers.

I am not into this game thread. Game 5, not 4 though I do hope that we play like we did in Game 4.

I am also not into this officiating crew:
Steve Javie (22nd year - 202 playoff games)
Bob Delaney (21st year - 130 playoff games)
Tom Washington (17th year - 67 playoff games)

Javie single handedly gave the Spurs Game 4 lsat year. Delaney hates Jerry. Hard. Washington's a good ref.

I'm not looking forward to watching this crew hand the Lakers this game. Delaney HATES utah, never gives them a call. Javie is known for making a call in a crucial situation.

Ouch... takes a swing at "The Used" a local band from Orem and you use them as your Pao Gasol reference?

We're pretty much screwed with Delaney and Javie as refs. We're gonna have to put up one hell of a game to get past that.

This game is huge. I mean seriously huge. I'm sorry for getting ahead of myself, but this is really how it is. If we win tonight we WILL win the series, where on the other hand if we lose tonight we WILL lose the series. Next round we will probably ( ) play the Hornets and we have an amazing shot at beating them. After that it's probably either the Pistons or the Celtics and I could see us getting by either of them. That being said, tonight could determine if we see some hardware this year.

That ^ is a pretty damn good assessment. Alas, the chips are stacked pretty unfavorably for the Jazz.... Road game.... Javie.... injured/sick superstar player on the opposing team.... Boozer with a yeast infection in his mangina...

IMO, it'll take a pretty heroic effort to win tonight.

Oh Lindsay Lohan....

She's something....She's so...

Oh yeah, The Jazz.

We are gonna win tonight, no question about it.

About Lindsay, she's soooo... oh boy.

Regards.

This really is a shame. I love "the Used". Not literally, just figuratively.

Now to the game. We need a win here tonight. I think that we take advantage of injuries while we can. I really think that we have a good shot at winning this. GO JAZZ!!!

I guess Deron is only a role player, because he only shows up to play at home.
