per wiretap, i would hate to see him go with them, if phil and corbin are interviewing with different teams and eventually end up leaving, i think horny would fit in great here...

He talked about that yesterday on the radio with david locke 1320 am. The bulls also contacted him for an interview.

I'm shocked that the Bulls have not made a run for Ty Corbin. he's a chicago guy! Horny played for the Suns i could see him going there as a warm up for when he come to the Jazz!

NOOOOOO!!!!!!

The Jazz MUST NOT let Horny get away!

I was hoping Horny would spend the summer working with Brewer and Millsap on their jumpshots...

wtf is this crap we could potentially be without Phil Johnson, Tyrone Corbin, Jeff Hornacek. We could have Sloan, Layden, then who the hell else? Why is everyone going after our coaches this year and not last?

Freaking Bozo the Sloan needs to finally ride off into the sunset(about 10 years too late) so we dont lose this guy. He would be the PERFECT head coach for this team.

Why does everyone think Horny would be a great head coach?

What kind of offense is he going to run? Is he a defensive coach? What will his rotations be?

stevebozell, you seem to know, so tell me what kind of coach is he going to be?

Good sense.

I don't doubt that Horny has a great basketball IQ, but so do a lot of coaches that wouldn't fit the Jazz's current system, I would like to see Horny do a bit more then assistant shooting coach before I give him the reigns to take care of a team so close to a championship.

Sometimes it's good to have someone whose been there before as a coach, vs. someone who hasn't been all that close to the game in nearly 10 years.

I dont want him to "fit the current system".. The current system hasnt won jack, and in my opinion doesnt fit the guys we have.

To me horny doesn't seem like a head coach
he wouldn't be the guy to fire up the troops and get into players faces
he's too of a nice guy IMO

I don't doubt that Horny has a great sense of the game and the ability to coach in this league, but people underrated experience as a head coach.

Look at Avery Johnson, he's a very good coach, but every post season that he's been the head coach he's been largely responsible for his ultra talented teams not winning, and it's because of his lack of experience in those situations.

Let him go to PHO, get fired in 2-3 years, let Sloan retire, and pick him up. Perfectly possible situation.

Then what happens to AK's shot when Horny is in Phoenix?
