As we all know after Korver was acquired he primarily played the 2nd and 4th quarters, and Brewer played the 1st and 3rd. I know Sloan liked Korver in the 4th because of his money free throw shooting, which helped us win a couple of games.

First of all, I don't think either player is happy only playing 24 minutes, which may be irrelevant because that's a coaches decision.

What I really want to know, is wouldn't it be better to have them on the floor at the same time? When Brewer is in we have the athletic, baseline slasher. With Korver we have the outside shooter. It seems with this rotation defenses know what each guy can do, and focus on taking that away. It seems their styles of play would compliment each other well.

With all that being said, I know it would be hard to find minutes for both of them at the same time. So, as much as I like Brewer I think he could be the man to be traded because everyone has such a Boner over Korver, and I would be shocked if the Jazz traded him. Brewer has some value and moving him could be the way we get CJ on the floor.

Just a thought wanted to see what y'all think.

It's hard to say because Korver sucked the last month or so of the season, he wasn't hitting his shots at all and when he isn't doing that he isn't doing much.

Brewer was playing better, but once teams started to sag off of him he became pretty worthless also.

I think Sloan was just looking for someone to step up and Brewer was the better player, but was also a weakness when teams would just clog the middle.

Personally I am hoping either CJ or Mo Almond can remedy those situations.

The Problem that I have is that Sloan doesn't make any in game adjustments he just sticks to his rotations. There have been times when we could have used Brewer more often when Korver was out stinking it up but Sloan doesn't do that because he sticks to his rotation and thinks Korver should close out games and vice versa. Bottom line is his Rotations have to go because they have cost us a few games.

The main reason for the screwed up Korver/Brewer substitutios was Matt Harpring. Brew should have been getting a lot of minutes at small forward rather than at shooting guard. Korver and Miles should be getting the majority of the minutes at guard next year (I hope), but that depends upon Jerry realizing that Matt is no longer a better player than CJ....Uh never mind we all know that will never happen.

This is what frustrated me also. Sloan sticks with his rotations no matter what. There were some games where Korver is cold and he sticks with him, even though he doesn't give us much else.

Some in game adjustments would be nice to see.

Yeah Sloan is a stubborn old man.

But I think an improved CJ could really start to take away Harps minutes.

Brewer and CJ on the court at the same time makes us very athletic, and gives Deron a chance to push the ball much more often

As far as I'm concerned Korv hasn't earned his 4th quarter PT. I would much rather see Brew closing out our games.

I agree aside from that Spurs game where he hit that lights out three, he kind of fell off at the end of the year!Brew always has a shot at getting the and 1. Korver is amazing from the line,but i would like to see him work on his medium range shot,like Matty before the knee stuff. If he could get better at that free throwline extended shot then he could become a great weapon.

sloan should change up his rotations more, yes but they arent set in stone, korver was sucking it up so he inserted Miles. Do you actually believe in his rotations he had take korver out after a few minutes and put in CJ? c'mon now, he does need to make more but he does make some. Once Utah does something with either Harpring or make s a trade for a 2 guard I dont see brewer and korver on the court at the same time.

Would either of you be opposed to trading Boozer for Redd? Then we can make some additional moves, but essentially this is how our team would look:

Okur/Fesenko
Millsap/Collins
Kirilenko/Korver/Harpring
Redd/Brewer/Miles/*Almond
Williams/Price/*Hart

* = Outside the regular 12 man rotation.

Maybe we could package someone in order to get a legit backup PF. It's just an idea to get Millsap more PT and get a great shooter as well. I think our team is would definitely have an upgrade as far the starting 5 is concerned.

No way would I trade boozer for redd. Boozer for iggy and pieces possibly but not one dimensional redd.

Redd is so overrated it's crazy.

Bucks fans hate him, he costs the team a ton of games in tight situations just like he did in the game against the Jazz this season, and he's a chucker.

What CJ Miles have you been watching? The guy is easily the worst defensive player on this team, his shot is garbage, and he has the body of a twelve year old. Harpring has his shortcomings, but he gives this team, who was easily the softest playoff team, an identity; and along with Williams and Millsap, kept this team from following the pansy combo of Okur and Boozer right out of game 6 without a fight.

To quote you what CJ Miles have you been watching the asian model? CJ is not a bad defender, hes quick, he has a shot, he can get to the basket, CJ Miles could easily be our best bench player given the chance, he has the et of tools needed to be a great wing.

Which Matt Harpring have you been watching? It doesn't take a genious or even a particularly observant fan to see how badly Matt harpring's skills are declining. Yes, he's tough. We get it. He also sucks. The offense grinds to a halt when he plays and his hands have calcified to the point where Greg Ostertag is giving him pointers on catching a pass. Deron Williams had to call him out and basically bribe him just to prove he can still dunk! No one is faulting his effort, but its obvious that he just doesn't have the skills any more.

CJ is going to be inconsistant as long as his minutes are inconsistant. He's shown us enough to warrant a serious look, though. His length and athleticism are sorely needed on this team. But hey, if you want to keep cheering for Linebacker Matty, go ahead. Maybe the NBA will even let him put on his old shouler pads.

Harpring is on the decline and I do think that we need to get more athletic. One thing that I do love about Harp is his toughness add that and it does truly add another dimemsion to our team. Yes I do feel he still can contribute to this team but we have got to get more athletic and by giving CJ more minutes will help his growth because I do think that he does have tons of potential
