Would anyone go for this one?

Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to Utah and Milwaukee being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Utah and Milwaukee had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Utah Depth Chart:
PG: Deron Williams, Charlie Bell, Jason Hart/2nd Round Pick
SG: Michael Redd, Kyle Korver, C.J. Miles
SF: Ronnie Brewer, Matt Harpring, Morris Almond
PF: Charlie Villanueva, Paul Millsap, 2nd Round Pick
C: Andrew Bogut, Mehmet Okur, Kyrylo Fesenko

Milwaukee Depth Chart:
PG: Maurice Williams, Ronnie Price, Royal Ivey
SG: Bobby Simmons, Desmond Mason, 1st Round Pick (#23)
SF: Andrei Kirilenko, 1st Round Pick (#8), Awvee Storey
PF: Yi Jianlian, Michael Ruffin, Jarron Collins
C: Carlos Boozer, Jake Voskuhl, Dan Gadzuric

Reasons:
The Jazz would suddenly be much taller and athletic in their front court. Hopefully more size and better athleticism will lead to better defense. Also, Utah's starting lineup would become more balanced offensively. The bench would also become the best in the league, with five legitimate players who could be starters on other teams. Utah's #23 pick in this year's draft would probably have to be included to sweeten the deal for Milwaukee.

I don't think the Bucks would go for that; I'm not sure how the Jazz would feel.

As I've said in many of these discussions, I love Bogut. He'd be real nice in this system to, since he's an excellent, unselfish passer out of the high post. But the Bucks organization is really high on him.

Charlie V is a decent player and all, but as tough as I've been on Boozer for his terrible playoffs, he's so, so far beyond Charlie that we'd all get very frustrated very fast when he couldn't produce what we're used to offensively.

Charlie Bell is a fine player and a fine back-up that I'd be more than happy to have, but he's another guy that -- probably more than they should be -- the Bucks are very high on. They had that whole contract fiasco over the summer, where they matched his offer sheet, even though he said he wanted no part of staying with Milwaukee.

Michael Redd is an excellent shooter, as we all know, but he's also a volume shooter in the mold of John Starks, who needs to put up a lot to get into rhythm. While I loved Starks as a player, we all remember how poor a fit he turned out to be when we signed him here. Neither of them are pure shooters like a Jeff Hornacek or a Kyle Korver. If this trade were to go through, he'd be a third option in this system probably, behind Deron and Bogut. If you have Okur locked in and playing well at the 4, Redd might even be the fourth option. He wouldn't get his shots, he wouldn't be happy here, and he and Sloan would have palpable tension.

Boozer could be a beast in the east, and Milwaukee would love to have him. BUT... life instantly gets harder for him with Mo Williams disturbing. Mo is a competent point guard, but he's a scoring 1 and he's not particularly efficient in pick-and-roll situations. Boozer would find his points harder to come by.

I won't even venture a guess as to how Kirilenko would fare. That guy's so all over the place that I haven't the faintest clue how he'd react to a new situation.

All in all, I think the Bucks turn this down because they feel like they're not getting enough back, whether that's actually true or not. And I don't think the Jazz would do this one either because they're perfectly happy with their crop of swing players and expect Boozer to rebound from his atrocious second half/post-season run.

Me personally, I wouldn't do this deal either. And that's coming from Boozer Critic #1.

Some great reasons to sign Michael Redd:

1. Stunt the development of Brewer, Miles and Almond
2. Get older
3. Have a player that goes off for 40 one night just to shoot you out of the next 3 games.

Honestly, I've heard bucks fans complain about Redd far too much to want him here. Just because he drops 50 on the Jazz doesn't mean we should get him.

Plus, our PF spot would suddenly suck even worse.

Too drastic, would rather have AK than Redd.
