Rumor on the Bobcats board

Just food for thought!!
This rumor is hearsay so lock this up if you want. Sean May and his girlfriend were at a wedding I was at this past weekend. His girlfriend (Grace) is good friends with the girl that was getting married. They were saying that they were leaving for Vegas on Sunday......May was going to go through some drills or something with the summer league team. Well one of my friends was saying yesterday that Grace was bitching cause they never made it to Vegas.....instead they went to Utah. Supposedly he worked out for Sloan and had a physical. He's saying that if his tests are clean that he and Gerald are gone......for Carlos Boozer. Again, this is hearsay and probably false cause I haven't heard anything about this. Did Sean make it to Vegas? If this did come true I'll take it but what's Boozer's contract status?

So

Dwill
Brewer
Wallace
AK
Okur?

I think I trust AK at 4 more than May, but I don't know much about May.

May and Wallace, and Boozer is the only cog gone? Even if it's Millsap I may not be pissed.

Deron Williams/Price/Hart
Brewer/Miles/Almond
Wallace/Korver/Harpring
AK/Milsap/May
Okur/Koufos/Fes

DROP COLLINS

I soooo hope that this is true. I think Boozer is a great PF, but I honestly rather have AK be more involved, and a great defender in Wallace. Hell this could even influence Okur to step up his D

interesting, though I think the Jazz could do better than Gerald Wallace and Sean May. There better be some sort of draft compensation as well if it happens (not likely).

That's a weird way to hear a rumor, but who knows.

It'd be interesting to have Gerald Wallace, but Sean May is ridiculously injury prone, even for a back up PF.

This would be good for the Jazz but what is the reasoning for the Cats? Booze will be gone next off season in this case and Cats would have nothing. Do they bite the bullet this year, going over the cap, to keep Okafor? Then next season they are clear of Booze and back under. That could be a positive for them. Or is this done so they just have more money to offer to the likes of Kobe or Lebron? This is the only reason I see that the Cats do this or am I missing something?

Its a little far fetched, but what hell. Gerald Wallace is a stud, he is similar to AK in that he does a little bit of everything. May looks ok. Here is the catch, both are INCREDIBLY injury prone, neither has played an entire season here's how many games each played the past three years:

Wallace: 55, 72, 62 (2007 season)

May: 23, 35, 0 (2007 season)

I would agree, it seems that the jazz could get a better deal.

His only argurment was, "would Sean May come work out for the Jazz when he is under contract with the Bobcats". I don't see why he wouldn't. If that is what it would take to get the deal done then why not send him out here for a quick visit? He was already on his way to the Vegas Summer league for the Bobcats anyway.
I'm not saying that I think this is true, I'm just saying that it could be. Also if it is, I will be chubbing for a week!!!!!!!!!

Makes Jazz a much better defensive team as Boozer and Memo cannot coexist defensively. It also moves AK-47 closer to the basket defensively which I strongly favor. Hurts Jazz offensively as Jazz would have no viable post up threat. I do trade if and only if May is someone I thought I could depend on. I rather have Morrison and Wallace as morrison has more has more upside than May.

Can the Jazz win a championship with Brewer as a starter? He cant shoot a lick and is more like a 6th man. At least, they have Korver on the bench but hes a streak shooter.

I WOULD DO THAT IN A HEART BEAT!

Gerald Wallace is a straight up STUD! And if May continues to have injury problems than so what? We dont re-up him end of story. AK returns to the 4 position where he flourished . . . I would do it in a second.

19 pts, 6 rebs, 3 assts, 2 stls, and a block + some shred of defense? We would have an incredibly athletic starting 5. With MUCH improved defense.

Deron, Brew, Wallace, AK, Memo?!?!??!?!? That would be an awesome team to watch. The only thing that would worry me would be whether or not we would be too injury prone even though Booze isnt exactly the most sturdy of players either.

I'm a fan of crash. Can't believe the kings let him walk with the expansion. I suppose we lost Pavlovic & kept Borchardt

I am fort this trade... Brew at 3 and AK at 4 and Memo at 5 and Fes and Kosta at 5 when Memo has to be the 4, which will be often will be ok with me, Jerry, Phil, Tyrone and Scott can manage this. I am all for it.

That just screams "play zone defense against me." Pass.

I'm all for this trade. However, I am concerned about these players being too injury prone. Also, what would happen to the pick and roll game?

The current team already screams that...at least with this deal we would be about a million times quicker, giving us the chance to beat the other team down the floor before they can even bother setting up in that zone.

I agree, this makes us better at what we altready do good, but it lets AK do what he does best better. We will all fall back in love with AK if this goes through.
