I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for my recent and first post asking for "intelligent Jazz fans only". I now realize how ridiculous this post sounds. At the time I was unaware that I was asking for "intelligent jazz fans only" on a site that has none. I feel awful. It was kind of like asking for "Smart chicks only" on a Paris Hilton fan site. Really I apologize. I'd forgotten that Maggette's 20 points and zero defense would be a great fit for one of the highest scoring/worst defending teams in the league. I really, really apologize! I don't know how I could think that Maggette's 20 points and zero defense would be a horrible fit for the Jazz after the fact that the Jazz made him an offer back in 2003 when they were one of the lowest scoring teams in the NBA. So to anyone I offended, I sincerely apologize. I only hope that one day, years from now, as you sit in your mothers basement, eating cheetos, you can find it in your heart to forgive me.

Id rather have Maggettes 20 points and zero defense(which isnt true, by the way) than Mattys 8 points (will be even less as the years go by) and zero defense. Or Kyles 10 points and zero defense, and the list goes on and on. Keep showing that intelligence, Qmac!!

Which leads me to believe that most of you have no idea how to better the Jazz. Otherwise you would comment on that. Just a thought. For instance while you are all drooling over Corey Maggette like school girls over NSYNC, James Posey is on the market. So we could either go after a guy who is known for taking bad shots, doesn't get along with his coach, and shows no interest in playing "team" D. (Which also seem to be what most of your complaints directed at AK seem to be.) Or we could go for a guy who has been on 2 of the last 3 championship teams, understands the idea of a "team" concept, plays top tier D, and can hit the 3. Tough choice. Anyone want to comment on that? If not then contemplate this lil' doosie. My "nick" is QuantumMacGyver because the word "Quantum" is actually about very large (big) things such as how many small (not big) things create one giant (humongous) thing.... and because as anybody knows McGyver never uses pistol... because he uses a thing called a "brain" and also things like "creativity" and "problem solving skills"...
Now... you can do your own maths on your nick(I'd rather do my own "maths", apparently I have multiples of them, on my fingers) .... should be very insightful...If I could understand what you just said then yes, it may just have been insightful.... oh and by the way I have a very small mouse.

As for Posey, we never had a chance at him. Pretty much everyone here acknowledged that he would be great for this team. That doesn't mean we've ever had a shot at him.

In conclusion, please take English 101 at your local community college, so that you can master that most elusive of things: the paragraph.

One thing about Posey....he looks great playing next to stars on a championship team for the veteran minimum. But I guarantee, GUARANTEE, if he gets a 5 yr deal for the full MLE, he will be nothing more than a bad contract getting pawned off from one team to the next within 2 years.

Nice player for the right price. Destined to be overpaid.

Though I agree with this lunatic's sentiments in regard to Corey Me-gette.
