Nets come calling

New Jersey get: Matt Harpring $6M/3, Jason Hart $2.3M/2, Jarron Collins $2.35/2, and C.J. Miles about $1.25/1 or Morris Almond $1M/2
Utah get: PF/C Nenad Krstic about $3.5M/3 in sign and trade, G/F Bostjan Nachbar about $5M/3 in sign and trade, and G Marcus Williams $1.18M/2
WHY EACH TEAM DOES IT:
New Jersey Nets do it because of one year coming up soon, 2010! Names of LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, Kobe Bryant, and Amare Stoudamire will be free agents. All of these players will be off the books by then, plus they don't have to re-work any contracts with any players invloved in this trade. Marcus Williams hasn't found his chance there and coming out of college was a projected prime time starter in this league, and he is still way young at the age of 22, so that why they would keep Jason Hart for just incase something happens to Harris.
Utah Jazz do it because with their current salary situation and the situation where they don't really want to get rid of Boozer of just running the franchise in fear or whether he will leave or not, which he most likely will, but they set themselves up with a chance not to fall so hard with his departure. Nenad Krstic before his injury was a borderline all-star, and he could help ease the blow of losing Carlos Boozer, and with a year to see if Krstic can fill that role if he doesn't pan out then we have the money we lose with Boozer leaving to try hard for some one around a little above the mid-level exception like around 8 or 9 million next off season and still sign key contributors to extensions like Millsap, Price, Okur, Korver, and Marcus Williams if he really shows signs of really contributing. This way we don't feel such a big blow when and if Boozer decides to leave. Plur Krstic backing up Okur this season would help the ease of rushing Koufos or Fesenko to early. Not to forget Bostjan Nachbar would fill the role of losing Harpring but give us another real shooter from the outside / slasher that takes it to the hoop.
Potential 2008-09 depth chart:
1 D.Williams/Price/M.Williams
2 Brewer/Korver/Miles or Almond
3 Kirilenko/Nachbar
4 Boozer/Millsap
5 Okur/Krstic/Koufos/Fesenko
